Not a safe space for transgender people.

First experience here a few months ago was not the best but i thought maybe it was an off night. I have been there 4 times this year and things never change. The new patio is amazing but the service hasn't gotten any better. Although they advertise the kitchen open until 9, twice on weeknights I asked for a menu. One night on the patio I was told they don't serve food when there is one bartender and the patio is open. The second time the bartender got upset and said the grille wasn't on but if I insisted, he would turn it on. The other part that did not make me feel welcome was the group of employees who seem to take over the bar. The bartender spends more time shaking dice with them, than serving customers. I talked to a lady who said she is a regular customer. She said everyone along that part of the bar (7 of them) were all employees or their partners and they get their drinks half price. If you aren't part of the employee crowd, you will be treated like an annoyance. Its too bad this is the only "gay" bar in Appleton.

l love(d) this place; appears l didn’t get there on friday when my boys opened this place…there’s a ‘tender’ there (forever friday) beloved to some (l hope the new owners feel his clients are preferred)! Sadly, l do not. l won’t be regular (again) until l’m welcomed within 60 seconds, & have placed my request before 7 minutes elapses. SUPER DISAPPOINTED‼️Take PRIDE in your work ❣️

I wanted to rate 5 stars. I was actually charmed by this place at first. During my visit I was making jokes and having a playful conversation with my friend about how ACAB, and one of the boomer bartender ladies got super offended and started defending cops like her uncle was one, LOL. It just felt super weird and out of place honestly. Not sure if I wanna go back again.

If you are looking for an excellent LGBT bar in the heart of the fox valley that is an icon, a place that I would consider an oasis for anyone whether they hail gay straight or any other identifacation stop by Rascals. I decided to stop on a Tuesday night Andrew was an excellent bar tender, he was attentive to all of my needs and my drinks were delivered faster than I could blink, if you're looking for a nice place to stop in and have a few drinks were you are accepted for who you are stop in have a drink and if you just so happen to be stopping on a Friday have their fish fry and few drinks I bet you go home satisfied with your Friday evening..

Had the haddock fish fry, fish was crunchy and not edible. If you like your cocktails 90 percent alcohol and 10 percent mixer this is the place to be however I do not, had to get a cup full of soda to mix myself and tone it down. Bartender by the name of doodles is strange. When asked his real name he got weird like I was asking for personal information. When leaving almost got run over by a drunk girl backing out of parking lot. Will not return

Whatever they're paying Andrew it isn't enough! He's great!

Very nice bar and friendly owners. While there have been many bartenders - Andrew is the most attentive which translates into awesome customer service. There have been upgrades and updates to the bar which have improved the overall experience. There are many bars in Appleton however Rascals is definitely my favorite.

We hadn’t been since the new owners took occupancy. As someone working in health care, we were alarmed in the past that this establishment was not respecting healthcare safety protocols. With vaccines in the rear view window, my friend and I took my husband here for his 40th birthday. The bartender acted like it was any other day and basically chatted with his two friends… the only other people in the bar. When my husband mentioned he felt uncared for and went to the restroom the bartender disparaged my husband in front of me. When I defended my husband he said he’d been bar tending for 10 years and we were the problem. If you don’t know to celebrate someone on their birthday or think you can talk about someone’s spouse behind their back then you may pour drinks but you don’t understand hospitality.

It’s such a joy everytime I go there

Was in there one time this past summer and it seemed like only older people went there...and mostly men. Not much for the younger scene...and not many girls there. Maybe it was just the day I went, so I will try on nye or sometime after and will see. But unfortunately this is the only gay bar in the area and I felt very out of place...

Went out the night before we flew home to SW Florida and stopped in this place for a drink and a snack. It was very quiet at first but picked up. The staff was very friendly, drinks were great and priced well. It has a great neighborhood feel and very welcoming. Would go back again if in the area.

We stopped by Rascals (twice) while in town for a Packers game. I cannot say enough good things about the hospitality that we received from the owners, Jim and Karen, and the staff. Sooooo incredibly welcoming, friendly, and generous!!!Show your pride and we will support you!! Every. Single. Time.
