Randomly pick this place for my mom's birthday celebration because it was a decent location for everybody to meet with 10 to 12 people for chicken. It was 4:00 in the afternoon...not busy at all ... Still it took a good 10-15 minutes to get a drink filled?? Just really bad service. The bartender was counting money, clearly saw we all needed drinks but continued to do her thing. They were prompt at putting the table together for the 12 of us, most of us ordered the broasted Chicken special. It was a joke...lol chicken wasn't bad but the sides were less than an ice cream scoop, dressing corn and potatoes. And everybody's was lukewarm to cold 🙄👎 the waitress was young she never came back to check. There's a lot of good places to go for chicken w good service....this is not one of them unfortunately.

Went with about 10 people for my Mom's birthday today at 4, for cocktails and dinner. Wasn't busy at all... Being a beautiful day outside. I was the last one to arrive in the group about 4:10. I patiently waited for the bartender to stop counting her money and come take my drink order, had to be 10 minutes...all fine... They put together a table for us quickly. Most of us got the broasted chicken Sunday special. What a disappointment in the portions of the sides!! OMG, one bite of corn maybe two along with the potatoes and the stuffing and to top it off they were lukewarm! No coleslaw chicken with salty and overpriced
Missed an epic ending to an MLB playoff game because the bartender wanted to close early. I won’t ever be back.

So ordered mozzarella sticks, which were different wrapped in a grill wraps, not the bad part.Bad part they were cold, forgot to mentionTook twenty five minutes to get them and they were cold, and then another long wait for our food.I had the turkey bacon avocado sandwich with fries.That went to another table, took it back cuz.It wasn't theirs, left it there 5 minutes and bring it back to me needless to say I wasn't happy, I got up went to the truck before I said something.My wife handled it.They took the mozzarella sticks off and my meal off,She paid for hers because she got wings.She says they are okay, but one time's enough for me. I will never return there again. Good luck.!

I was going to feel bad about leaving this type of review, but looking over the past year, it looks like management/owners just don't know how to fix things or don't actually care. There have been bad reviews going back a couple years saying the same things. The food is low quality. The service was slow and inattentive. Don't offer me a gift card; why would I go back? There's plenty of other, better places in the Fox Valley I'd rather spend my money and not waste my time.

I live near StoneYard and have been a frequent customer for years because of the great food, drinks, and service. Unfortunately, my last few visits have been very disappointing.
A few weeks ago, I ordered the beef nachos and they were inedible. The beef was absolute slop. This week, I went again because a friend wanted to go and we were nearby. She ordered chicken nachos, which were not great, and I ordered chicken strips that were so tough I couldn’t even cut them with a fork.
I also ordered my usual drink, but the bartender mentioned she makes it differently than the other bartenders. I’m not sure why drinks wouldn’t be consistent across staff, especially for a regular menu item. If I wanted it made differently, I would have asked. She did offer to change it, but it felt awkward after the fact.
On top of that, there were fruit flies everywhere during our visit. I had to keep swatting them away while trying to eat.
I’m not sure if Stone Yard has new ownership, but it feels like ever since the menu change, the quality has gone downhill. This is especially disappointing because I used to really enjoy coming here, and it’s so close to my house. Sadly, as things stand now, I will not be returning.

I've been here multiple times over many years, and the experience continues to decline over time.... Just this Friday evening, I ordered fish and when two different staff asked about how I was enjoying the meal? I shared that the first piece of deep fried haddock was TOUGH. Although both were trained to ask, neither was obviously trained on how to handle a negative situation, as neither said anything after my commen nor did they take any action in reaction towards my response. (that's Management / Training issue).
During the entire evening tonight, all staff were more concerned about having private conversations with patrons that they knew.... this alienates newcomers and regulars that do not patron every week (Again a Management issue, but fueled by a staff that is not paying attention.)
The final insult is when they add a 3% surcharge to my meal for using a credit card. Why don't they charge me a portion of their electric bill or insurance. How a customer pays should not make them feel bad nor penalize them for their method of payment. (I am a 46 year retail business owner and would never do this to my customers.).....
Not a good experience... and this might be the last time I patronize this business.

Had the Cheeseburger salad and it was amazing. The atmosphere is great especially for Monday. Love the patio! The servers are awesome. On point for sure! Keep up the great times!!!

Went for a drink and appetizers on Wednesday June 11 at 3:00. Bartender got us our drink then totally ignored us for an hour. Talking to friends and in her phone. 4:00 person came in and was awesome! Acknowledged us right away. We didn't order food because the first bartender was so inattentive. First time I've had a bad experience here.
Food was good. Service was great. But ATM was out of money. Spent alot of money there and couldn't get money from ATM. Was told to go to Kwik trip down the road. Not good. Very disappointed.
