This has become one of my favorite coffee shops! I love taking my laptop with and working here for a few hours. The avocado toast is THE BEST I’ve ever had, and their iced matcha latte with lavender is my go-to drink order.

This visit was the third strike. Previous visit yielded a similar experience. Counter staff did not know their products, kitchen staff seemed to lack any skills necessary to even heat food, ( quiche) and then didn’t monitor the customers picking up food. Our order was paged but when approaching the window only one plate was present. Appears another customer took ours by mistake. Had to wait another 15 minutes for heating up a piece of quiche! Coffee was tepid at best and the greens they threw on the plate next to the quiche were not complimentary. No presentation! Spent $45 for two coffees with cream and two quiches. We will not be back again, ever! The owners/managers have clearly lost their way.
Great place by the river for coffee and a treat. The patio is so welcoming!!!
Tempest has been a favorite of mine for a long time. However, you would think the quality would increase with the prices (it hasn’t). If I’m paying 7-9 dollars for a drink, I don’t want a pre-made matcha or an off ratio milk to espresso latte…
