First time here and the service was fast and friendly. Got the pulled pork fries, spicy fried chicken, ribs, gumbo and collard greens. The fries were very good, not soggy at all. The spicy fried chicken had a good breading and was juicy inside. It also had a sweetness to it as well and balanced well with the spices. The ribs I had were on the dry side so I didn’t not enjoy that. The gumbo was delicious and seasoned very well. The collard greens were okay in my opinion. Overall I would give my experience a 4/5.

Been coming here since I was living in Memphis. It is everything good about southern food, up north. Amazing fried chicken, catfish, ribs, cornbread, red beans and rice, gumbo, pecan pie... EVERYTHING!!!Keep it up. Tried delivery today in the snow, as well, still incredible!!!

Ok, so like I live a couple blocks from Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles in Mid-City, Los Angeles and I am very familiar with this type of restaurant. That being said, I really like this place. The decor is great and the menu is nuts (in a good way). It is definitely not the healthiest of foods, but the unhealthy food I have eaten was yummy. It's kinda like a cross between dinner and dessert. If you get there early enough, you may be able to sit at the Michael Jackson table!

We had been talking about trying the food here for a long time. We were downtown on the weekend and decided to stop in. We got there right around 4:30 and it was busy. There was also a show going on at the PAC so I'm sure that contributed. We had to wait to be seated for about 20-25 minutes. Once seated, our server took our drink order and food order at the same time. Took awhile to get the drinks, but there was only one server in the place. He was taking orders, bussing and cleaning tables, running the register, and bringing out the food. Someone else did start helping run food and taking orders after we had been seated. The food came out pretty quickly after we ordered. It was all so good! My husband got ribs, catfish, and fried chicken. It also came with baked beans, hush puppies, and Mac n cheese. I ordered fried chicken with Mac n cheese and baked beans. My daughter had kids chicken which was two drumsticks and a side of Mac n cheese. And we ended up getting like three servings of the cornbread. All the food was hot and delicious. My husband had to bring the ribs home to eat later because everything else was so good. The prices were also super-reasonable which we appreciate right now. If you haven't been here, you need to go. It's worth the wait!

Great place for pulled pork. So few places can do BBQ well in the area, and this is one of them. With the somewhat limited menu, I wouldn't call this a full southern or soul food restaurant (I've lived in TX and SC) but don't let that stop you. Large portions and good flavors make this a great stop.

I had the chicken on a waffle. Now I've had this down south but I was surprised that it was just a fried wing and a leg set on top of a waffle. Usually the bone is out of the chicken and the waffle is wrapped around the boneless strips of chicken. Laughable at best, but they're serving it up to people of the north so how would we know any better.
Not sure how the food is here as I’ve been here for an hour and still haven’t been served. Probably going to have to leave soon and won’t get a chance to eat.
