The Tardigrade's Bookshelf

This is a snazzy little establishment. Refreshments on tap and on the menu are very solid, there are some pretty good light snacks for accompaniment, and the folks here (patrons and staff alike) are very welcoming and easygoing. The coffee here is some of the smoothest I have had in a hot minute. Pictured: the pour-over coffee.

When asked What brought me in to their bar I told the staff I was looking to expand my social circle and make some friends. I feel like the staff went out out of their way to talk to me and make me feel welcome. 10 out of 10 Service a very calm and relaxed environment would definitely recommend for people who have social anxiety and are looking for friends

Tardigrades is great! You can tell the staff and owners really care, and its a great community gathering place. There's an event going almost all the time and the drinks are really great.

I like this place. It has such a nice cozy and funky atmosphere. A friend and I came here to catch up, and I had a new fruity coffee, which was very good and he had a Peppermint tea, which was also good. We spent quite a bit of time sitting in comfortable chairs and visiting. There was a book club in the other room. The chairs around the bar were also comfortable and we spent some time there while waiting for our drinks. They only have a couple items right now, like cookies & bars , to eat with your drinks and do not serve other foods. They make all sorts of tea & coffee combinations that you won't find in other places. There are a few books for purchase. Give it a try !

Oh my gosh, what can I say about this place!! I absolutely loved it from the second I walked in. The decor is to die for. The dark blue walls mixed with the light excellent lighting creates an atmosphere that is welcoming to everyone. I love the menu options that range from coffee and tea to mocktails, wines, and beers! There’s something for everyone here. When you get a chance to visit, check out the hidden gem in the back along with the amazing bathrooms!

I find The Tardigrade’s Bookshelf to be my go to place when I need to get away. This is a place I can go to that is a judgment free place, and be respected. That staff and owner go above and beyond expectations to ensure the patrons are satisfied. I highly recommend The Tardigrade’s Bookshelf to someone who is looking for a calm, relaxing, quiet place to sit back, enjoy a drink, and read!

We've been coming here for bookclub since they started, and it's been an absolute treat to watch this place slowly become the glorious bookbar it is now, Katherine and Steve are people that I consider my friends and wonderful owners and I hope that this place has a long and prosperous future!
