Great service! Seated right away, water brought writhin a few minutes. Sushi was GREAT! Crab ragoons were very good as well and fair pricing! Would recommend 😊

Overall a great hibachi place, dumplings and a sushi roll to start were brought out quickly. Main course did not disappoint with the portion sizes, quality and taste. And of course the interactive experience with the chef who did a great job involving both groups that were at our table.

Walking in it looks run down with half the toy machines out of order and lights off and some even still wrapped in packaging. The first interaction was poor with the gentleman barely looking up from his phone to greet me. Overall atmosphere looks dark and dismal. At first glance the building looks very appealing but after visiting I can firmly say there are plenty of other options to go elsewhere. Not to mention most of the menu seems to have white out to show they either changed their prices or simply don’t have the item anymore.

Ordered their chicken pad Thai through door dash and I had a chuck of Saran Wrap in my food that I almost choked on while eating. I won’t order/eat from here again. Food didn’t even taste fresh.

Came for restaurant week. Peaceful atmosphere awesome soft jazz playing in background absolutely delicious food and outstanding service.

Been going here for awhile but has really started to go downhill. Too much competition from the all you can eat places just blocks away with fresher ingredients. Still acceptable but better options out there.

Came here with my parents and son last night since this was a recommended place for me. The service here is awful stood at the door and the gentleman didn’t smile just gave me a nasty look, stood some more and this lady came out sat us at a table with no menus. We waited 10 minutes than she started shouting for us to scan menus we were confused we didn’t understand. Food took 50 minutes to come out and tables that sat after us had before us . Even though the foods amazing I won’t be coming back your paying money so I think service should be up to par. I really hope the owner reads these reviews and does something .

TJs food is my favorite in the Fox Valley. The best sushi. Shishimi, nigiri. Or my favorite the rolls. Its all very good. If.younare not a fan of raw fish the other dishes are great, too. I have never seen a more hard-working staff.
The stand outs are the..
TJ roll
Dynamite roll.
Naruto roll.
Wisconsin roll (deep fried mmmm)

Should have read reviews before I went there. Got carry out today and the place was completely empty and no one around. Went to the sushi counter and he called someone out. He grabbed the containers and put lids on I paid. 80 dollars for some special rolls. Got home and could not eat any of it. The fish was clearly old and was horrible!
The avocado was grey and brown and the sauce was everywhere. The spicy tuna roll was unbearable. Very fishy smelling and so dry I spit it out. This is by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. We threw out the entire order. Don’t go here!

Decor and atmosphere were promising, quite similar to Nakashima or Katsu-Ya. It is unfortunate the Hibachi section was closed. The server was prompt, polite, and attentive. The food on the other hand, was quite terrible. The egg rolls we ordered were undercooked and the filling was bland, reminiscent of frozen store-bought egg rolls. Edamame was good, but laden with too much salt. Tempura was decent but the batter was not as crunchy as expected, but portion size was small compared to the price.Main course was decent for taste, but still too small or a portion for the price, especially the special rolls. Case in point, we ordered the Black Dragon Sushi Roll at $16 and they came out the same size and number of pieces as the $7.5 Yellowtail Scallion Rolls. In the Fox Valley, you are better off going to Nakashima or Katsu-Ya.Drink was good, though. Wife ordered the Martini and it was delish.TL;DRAppetizer and Sushi were not good to decent, but not worth the price. Drinks were good. Not sure about the Thai entrees.

Guy running the place clearly wanted to be somewhere else. Had the personality of a wet mop. Food was OK, definitely not worth the price or going back to be treated like we were a burden instead of paying customers.
