Amazing atmosphere, stellar staff, and wicked good food. Vegan burrito is outstanding. I’ll be back!

The coffee here is really good. I got the Myan mocha and it was fantastic. The coffee had a different body and didnt rely on sugar to make it taste good.

The quiche was excellent as well.

Definitely a nice place to stop at when up in Ashland.

Nice coffee shop, I stopped in here on my way through Ashland and was surprised by how large this place is and what an extensive menu they have! I ordered the BLT and it was delicious. I'd definitely come back here.

Good food, but if you are looking for good espresso you are out of luck. 3 visits in a row it is undrinkably sour. A coffee shop is only as good as it’s espresso. Flavored drinks do not count.

Wow! I lived in Washburn in like '95 and this was one of my favorite places ever, especially in the depth of winter. I'm so happy to see you guys still goin strong after all these years. You're a staple to Ashland, here's to another 30 years!

Worker with bright red hair was very rude when I came up to get my coffee. I grabbed the cup and she said that’s not yours, it clearly says Elsa on the cup! Ok, well never been here before, you called my name and didn’t specify there was another order sitting next to mine. At any rate, will not be returning to a place that doesn’t know how to speak to customers nicely or respectfully.

Their large drinks are a medium by any other coffee shops standards but they charge the price of a large, definitely not getting your money's worth and basically an overcrowded loud hallway. Definitely my last choice for coffee in the area.

Went in for coffee. Girl behind the counter was talking to her friend while making my drink. She just shoved the drink at me and went back to talking to her friend. No “have a nice day!” Or “thanks for stopping in!” Or anything. Drink was not good either. Didn’t get the flavor I asked for. Not a good experience at all

Food was delicious, the coffee was very good with loads of choices, and the atmosphere was cozy. I'd pick Black Cat coffee every time given the choice.

Dietary restrictions: They are wonderful at accommodating allergies. For celiac disease, they have great alternatives and GF bread. Wonderful.

I just can’t stay away too long from the Black Cat 🐈‍⬛. It’s true. There’s a caring vibe that comes through from the dedicated staff that fills this charming old building with warmth and goodness. The sound of the frother with humming conversations; locally sourced coffee and fresh food ingredients, eclectic artwork from the creative community. Spaces to settle in both outdoors (in season) and in; sometimes live music. And, the Black Cat has this amazing antique display case on the counter, filled with delights from across the street at Ashland Baking Company. My car just naturally pulls onto the Black Cat’s street by itself. A part of life’s simple pleasures - do more of what makes you happy.

I had an oatmilk latte with orange cardamom syrup. 10/10. Served in a mug with lovely leaf art in foam. Delicious. Best latte I have had in years, and I was a barrista.

I ordered the vegan burrito, and while I would have liked a bit more protein in it, it was flavourful and very large. Perhaps a side of a salsa would have added a touch of needed acid to round it out. Solid 9/10 though. The flavor was extremely good.

The shop is gorgeous and lively but not so lively that you couldn't lose yourself in the din of clinking plates and silver haired ladies catching up over their favorite quiche.

If I am ever back in the area this will be my go to place for breakfast and a cuppa.

I ordered a Cortado and they made it correctly which Is more than I can say about most coffee shops. Excellent coffee and no up charge for oat milk! Nice cozy spot to hang out. A real community center.
