I recently moved to the Twin Cities, and it took me months to find a Chinese restaurant as good as New China in a metro area nearly five hundred times the population as Ashland. Try the Bang Bang Chicken, it's the bomb.

We have been going to this place for over 40 years. We drive an hour to go there. It was always well worth the trip until last night. Our service was great but the food was not. The egg rolls were tasteless, which to be truthful, we didn’t care for them the previous time either, they changed the recipe or something. We asked for our soup to be hot, it was luke warm. I had sweet sour chicken and hubby had imperial delight. My chicken was tough and both meals were lacking flavor. Hopefully it was just an off night. We will try again only because it has always been so delicious in the past.

We have been going to this restaurant for probably 20 years. We are out of town regulars. What has happened??? Our last 3 meals have been totally off the mark. Our food has been mildly warm, the flavor on one of your most spicy dishes was not spicy, no flavor and barely any meat, all three times. Egg rolls are the only item that tastes the same, excellent! Do not mind paying a $80 bill when the meals tasted like they used to, sadly, no longer. Very sad, would love an honest response to what has happened so we can try again in the future. A thousand delicious meals to 3 in a row that were not very good at all, threw out the leftovers all 3 times! Unheard of! Something changed??

Actually went into the store to order take out. The guy at the register looked like he didn’t want to be there at all. I ordered wonton soup, Mongolian beef and crab Rangoon. I waited 15 min came back in to get my order when I got home I received Chinese noodle soup, and Mongolian beef with nothing but vegetables. Crab Rangoon was the only thing that was decent. Very disappointed as a first time customer.
