We tried 3 other chocolate shops on our trip prior to this one - we thought they were all equally good. We almost didn't get chocolates here because we'd been eating a lot of chocolate. Boy, would that have been the biggest mistake. After trying Gabriele's, it made those other 3 shops' chocolate taste immediately subpar and like we shouldn't have even bothered. Stopped in to get something sweet when visiting from out of state and was blown away by the amazing assortment of beautiful creations to select from. The assortments of truffles were like works of art. The champagne truffles were out of this world delicious and one of the best things I have ever purchased from ANY sweet shop anywhere. The best chocolate we have ever had. Shared with family/friends who also were in awe at the amazing taste and texture. Truffles 10/10. Delicious and beautifully crafted. Genuinely homemade by the kind, friendly German lady - enjoyed chatting and we kept adding to our order. Also fun little souvenirs to peruse.
