This place 2 me isn't really about the food at all . Im from a big city . I love this place simply because it exists . These places do not exist where I'm from and never will again . Many places in a city try to offer nostalgia but it's fake and manufactured. I love going here because my better half went here with her grandma as a kid and now she takes me and the shared connection of a youth she remembers and I've never known is fantastic . I wish I had places...
Heard it is "the spot" in town, always a line to get good food and and an ice cream treat so of course had to try it out. Menu is large but not very detailed. When I asked if the hot beef sandwich was sliced roast beef (I'm thinking Italian roast beef sandwich) the woman behind the counter replied "no it's beef". Ordered the (grilled) Chicken Ranch BLT sandwich, 2 large root beer floats, California Burger, large cauliflower buds and a small size jalapeno...
