We found this place online after searching for restaurants that could do gluten free, and we're so happy we stopped in. During the summer they also have expanded seating onto an outdoor backyard patio, and we'll definitely be back for that. The wine list was very good, and the bartender was very friendly. We shared three plates, and it was more than enough food for two of us. Everything was delicious. Next time we'll share two things, so we can try one of the desserts. Of the entire menu, there was only two entrees and one dessert that was not gluten free, and it was amazing being able to actually pick what I felt like eating (not just what I could eat). Will be back soon!
Kid-friendliness: They had a Kid's Sampler, which had salami, cheese, apples, carrots, and cucumber. All things both my kids will eat.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
Great food, good wine selection. Our waiter was fun and knowledgeable. My husband had Cassoulet and I had a flatbread. Both were even better than expected. The outside area looked like a fun place to spend time in warmer weather. We will be back.
Deep fried artichoke hearts with cilantro chutney. I don't think I need to say more. But, everything else was amazing as well. I just wish I didn't have to drive 4 hours to eat here.
Stopped in for the first & really enjoyed Clover & Zot! We tried two deliciousdraft Belgian beers (1 dark & 1 strong ale) and the generous Hummis plate. Outside seating with lake views was comfortable and pleasant. Prompt and congenial service added to the enjoyment of the visit. We look forward to coming for dinner!
Such a friendly and kind staff, beautiful space and interesting food. Really enjoyed my Aperol Spritz and Curried Tempura Artichokes. Such a beautiful patio space. Can’t wait to return.
During our stay we visited the place twice and there wasn't a single dish that we didn't like! Everything was nice decorated and very delicious. Reasonable prices and good service. The food came really fast.If you have to wait for a table you can get a drink from the bar and sit in the garden, enjoying the lake view, or play some of the games outside. Kids and adults - everyone enjoy the games :)
Revisiting restaurants where you’ve had epic dining experiences in the past can be fraught with disappointment. And such was our experience this July at Clover and Zot.Gone were the attentive, enjoyable wait staff of yesterday. Instead, our servers seemed distant and disinterested. While they did take our orders, they lacked the warmth and friendliness we had come to expect of our trips to C&Z.The food was, well, palatable. Previous dishes were studies in balance or bold flavors. Now, all of the dishes we ordered seemed to be celebrations of gratuitous salt—so much so that all our guests remarked on it.Lastly, the website menu seemed to be inaccurate, as several of the dishes that piqued the interest of our guests were not actually offered. Our waiter seemed a bit frustrated by us asking about them, and eventually indicated that the printed menu was current and all that they had available. He did volunteer that he’d notify the owners, but his demeanor suggested that this was not the first time he’s had to deal with diners expecting something that’s not actually offered.Would I recommend a visitor try out Clover and Zot? Possibly. Again, we’ve had some fabulous experiences there. While our most recent visit left much to be desired, it’s our hope that this was the exception and not a sad new normal for an establishment once renowned for its dining.
I was running out of time to get to all of the restaurants I wanted to try on my most recent Door County trip, but I stopped in to Clover & Zot on a Monday afternoon, shortly after they opened at 4:00 just to order takeout. I had a couple glasses of wine while I waited, and everyone behind the bar was very friendly and hospitable. The wine was refreshing after a busy day at nearby Cave Point and Whitefish Dunes Parks. I decided to order a charcuterie board to go, as I could enjoy it while watching the outdoor concert in Ephraim later that evening. It was a very good charcuterie board, and I was glad I stopped here! It included a nice selection of cheeses, meats, fruits, and olives, and everything included was very appetizing and delicious. Thank you Clover & Zot! I would like to return sometime for an actual dinner here and to be able to stick around a little longer, but it is easy to start running out of time for everything in Door County! I would recommend Clover & Zot, and everyone was very friendly.
Sitting in the hotel room, wondering where to eat, I remembered a sign I spotted several days ago mentioning Muscles at a restaurant in Bailey's Harbor.Well there were no Muscles on the menu tonight, but the thought got me there.Browsing today's offerings there were two dishes that appealed to me. I opted for the Smoked Salmon Pizza, while I'm a big fan of smoked Salmon, pizza isn't nearly so high on my totem pole.Well anyway, I had to jump in and try it and really glad I did.Tomatoes, capers and lemon zest combined to make an amazing aroma as the server approached sporting my dinner. The pizza was every ounce as delicious as the telegraphed aroma. All that remains now, is to go back another day to dig into my second choice, but you'll have to wait to learn precisely what that will be.
Having passed by the restaurant a couple times, it looked so cute and I’d wanted to try it. So we went on a Saturday evening - early since they don’t take reservations. The outdoor side patio and garden is lovely. There are two seating areas with patio fire pits. Inside there is a large bar and indoor seating and outdoor is a lovely patio with 3 couch seats, patio table seating and yard seating. We loved sitting on the couch to have dinner. It was very relaxing. The service is great! Friendly and personable staff. A bottle of wine is on the expensive side, but it’s Door County! There are unique appetizers (thank you for not having all the typical appetizers). There are several crepes, pizzas and sandwiches along with some speciality dishes. All reasonably priced. Hopefully the prices will stay consistent. The pizzas are large - big enough for two. We loved it so much, that we came back on Sunday and sat at the same couch seating! Ordered a different pizza, bowl of tomato bisque, and a salmon salad. Sorry I didn’t have my phone for pics. We had a different server, who was great. I love how he took a seat when we were talking to him. He explained that this was welcome by the restaurant. I felt it to be warm and comfortable. This is one of my new favorite restaurants. We will definitely be back!

Our group of 4 dined this past Saturday night. The restaurant was well staffed, which unfortunately cannot be said about all the restaurants in the county. The interior of the restaurant is pleasant, and the outside seating is nice with a great lakeside location. They have a few games outside (bags, and ring swing) for those who want to hang out. They have a great selection of primarily European beers, including hard to find potent Belgian beers and Ales. We ordered 4 different appetizers, which were plentiful and filling. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the flavorful Cevapi, Duck Confit, Greek Kafteri and Curried Tempura Artichoke Hearts. All were flavorful, especially the Cevapi and the Artichoke hearts. Our entries, which was shared, consisted of the Lamb Kebob, Cassoulet, and Gnocchi, along with a Bibb Salad. All were very tasteful. The gnocchi and lamb left us wanting for more. Our Door restaurant-savvy group ate at the restaurants around the county for most lunches and every night for dinner for our week's stay. While we would rate the rest of the places good to excellent, our group's unanimous opinion is that Clover and Zot's was the best!
Lovely day to sit in the nice outdoor area. Food quality and flavor was very good. Our server Tony was Great! And the initiative to offer the pizza on the house after a long wait was superb customer service. Will definitely share about Clover & Zot to our friends and look forward to coming back! Keep up the great work guys ??
Food was amazing. Frites, crepes, stuffed figs and opera cake were unbelievable. Wonderful relaxed vibe and friendly staff.
Great place with a large outdoor seating area on the lake. Diverse menu ranging from crepes to pizza. The food was great. Had the calamari for an appetizer and the Rabbit Crepe. My wife had the Zotwurst which was very good. Good wine list and beer selection as well. Highly recommend!
Exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey. Merits at least one Michelin star. Carefully curated wine list. Expertly prepared food. Clover & Zot could hold its own in San Francisco, New York, or Chicago.
