It's a loud environment can barely hear my family at the table over the not loud people at the bar. (Truly the people were not loud but the TV and voices carried badly.) The waitress was rude when asked about things. Then went in kitchen (FYI everything can be heard in the dining room) while she curses about us for asking questions. They charge for to go but never informed us ahead of time. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

Went there recently with my wife. I ordered the bacon cheese burger and she ordred the steak. I ask for medium rare and it came out well done. There was ZERO taste to my well done burger, only salt. I don't mind waiting a long time for good food, but if the food comes out horrible, there's no excuse for that- we waited about 45 minutes for these two simple dishes. Probably never again. Our waiter, young kid. He did alright. Was a bit confused at times but not the the end of the world.

I hate to give a low review but the food was AWFUL. We ordered the Wisco burgers and the roasted Brussels and it was not good. The Brussels were completely scorched and burned. The Wisco burgers we both ordered came super well done despite being ordered medium and there were 3 whole cheese curds on each burger they also had no flavor or seasoning except the heinous amount of ketchup I had to add. Not only that but they didn’t come with any garnish. It was a plain burger with a bacon jam ( that sucked) and 3 curds. It was also supposed to be spicy but wasn’t. The server was nice. Also the spotted cow on tap was $8 a glass like wow! I have never experienced such high cost for a local beer that I get all the time! $8 is insane!!! Please avoid this place! Don’t go here!

Experience from my Neighbor William: We went to Baraboo yesterday and went out to dinner with family. Decided to try a different restaurant. We went to Zeman's Old Highway House. None of us will be going back. The service was very slow and they gave us a different waitress after we ordered. Took 45 minutes before we received our meals. The food was not that good. When it came time to pay we were given the wrong bills. My sister never got her bill because they had to redo them. Our grandson had to wait for his credit card after everyone paid. We will not be going back there. Robert Ervin from Restaurant Impossible would have a fit if he saw this restaurant.

Great place to meet friends and eat some good food & drink.
Very expensive, for what you get. That is, if you're even able to order from there. Not exaggerating at all, we have tried over six separate times to call and place a order to go. The phone will just ring, or on multiple occasions they just close the kitchen a couple hours early. We keep giving them other chances because they are a local establishment, but we are done there. I can't say they are overly friendly, their portions are very small, and the food isn't the greatest. We've had well-done burgers from them, raw fries, and the bruschetta is over saturated in balsamic vinegar. I don't recommend.
