Average food. Nice venue but the food just isn’t as good as Dell Bar or Ishnala. Both are cheaper also. The drinks were boring and priced as if they were top notch. We wont go back because of the better options nearby.

The food was really delicious! We really loved the salad with the goat cheese and candied pecans. My boyfriend and I shared the salad and glad we did because it was huge!! Had to try cheese curds and they were good, nice crispy coating, wish the cheese were a little more melted. I had the walleye, at first I wasn’t sure about the maple sauce, but after trying it I actually loved it. I tried my boyfriend’s pork chop and it was sooo delicious! The service was excellent, we had a wonderful server in training and both she and the server training her were friendly and helpful!
I had a brandy old fashioned and my boyfriend had a classic old fashioned and neither of us were impressed. I thought they seemed kind of watered down.
One last thing, the rooms are nicely decorated, but the lighting KILLS the ambiance. Way too bright!! I would turn the overhead lights WAY down or off and light the place with the wall sconces. Candles at the tables would add some warmth, which the decor needs. Took a look at the “Speak Easy” bar in the basement and it had the warmth and ambiance the rest of the place needs.
But overall, an enjoyable experience!

Nice place to visit. Staff was friendly and professional. Speakeasy had a good vibe. We only had drinks and bartender recommended deviled eggs app which were good. Happy hour prices were solid. Not a big fan of tap cocktails -as they taste like tap cocktails- much prefer fresh made.

If you don’t meet the guy’s appearance standards at the front desk around 5:50 PM on October 31st, be ready for some disrespectful looks.
I was delivering an order for a guest staying there and asked that guy if I was at the right address or if he could help me instead of saying ANYTHING, all he did was give me disrespectful looks. When I called the customer and couldn’t reach them, I told him that I would return the order if I couldn’t deliver it. Only then, almost unwillingly, he said it might be one of the nearby cabins. I left right after that. I ended up returning the order.
First of all, I wasn’t a guest I was just someone working hard to make a little extra money.
Second, my race might be different, but if you’re human, you’re HUMAN. Race shouldn’t matter.
Third, if you’re 40 years old and you look down on someone in their 20s, the only person you degrade is yourself. :)
Even if I’m unsure about many things in life, one thing I’m sure of is that I won’t be standing at the front of a restaurant when I’m 40 and I’m extra sure that I’ll never judge people for how they look or where they’re from.
Dawn Manor? More like Down Manner

Only issue is that they ran out of desert on a Saturday.

Food was very good. However the service at the bar needs alot of work. I sat there with an empty glass waiting even after they served my friend, who also waited for 10 minutes or so before they recognize he even needed a drink. They don't look 5 inches in front of their nose

Stunning exterior drew us in; interior beautiful as well. After two drinks in the smaller bar on first floor, we were seated upstairs for.dinner. Our server was super nice and very knowledgeable and professional. My pork and potatoes were excellent...as did look the steaks and desserts walking by to nearby tables. My husband's wedge salad, crab cakes and fries were fine but not top notch. We stuck our head in the larger bar on the lower lever and found it very nice. I also LOVED the historical art and information throughout the restaurant.

We had a wonderful time at Dawn Manor. The night we dined it was quiet and relaxed. Our waitress was super kind and really fun and we were lucky enough to be given a run down on all the history behind the manor.
Our group ordered the dates, meatloaf with mac and cheese, prime rib, and chicken pot pie. Everything was delicious, hot, and fresh. Not to mention the portions were huge! We brought a lot of food home.
Before we left we hit up the speakeasy which was such a cool hangout spot. We enjoyed a couple after dinner grasshoppers which were SO incredible. Definitely a meal we won’t forget.

Food isn't anything special, but it's a nice place, and I'm happy they have non alcoholic cocktails.

This was an enjoyable dining experience. If you have a reservation, I would recommend getting here early to enjoy the speakeasy. Drinks and food in the speakeasy before 6 are discounted (time may vary depending on the season). The Dimber- Damber Dates appetizer was absolutely delicious! I had the walleye dinner and husband had the pork chop dinner, both were beautifully presented and equally delectable. The atmosphere is sophisticated but not pretentious. The restaurant is located in a beautifully reconstructed 1855 mansion.

LOVED this place for an anniversary dinner! Each course was phenomenal! Highly recommend the Boursin cheese appetizer! The speakeasy was a little short-staffed, so we didn't get timely service, but the drinks were good! My husband really liked the brandy old fashioned sweet!

We made a reservation for one of the private rooms but when we arrived with a large group of girls our reservation was disregarded and we were sat in the upstairs dinning room. Almost instantly we were reprimanded for being too loud but we were just talking and laughing. The real problem was the upstairs is so echoey so any conversation is going to get louder and louder!

Whatever sauce they’re adding to the mashed potatoes on that Chappie Chicken is incredible. It was sweet and savory. My boyfriend had the lobster mac, and similarly, absolutely incredible. Drinks and service were also fantastic. The real kicker though was the chocolate lava cake a la mode. I love food. I love chocolate. I eat both of those a fair bit. Biting into that cake almost made me cry. It was decadent and rich and sweet and perfect. I don’t think I’ve ever had a chocolate lava cake that good.
