The Downtowner has been a favorite for many years! Love the old-style curved bar and the local feel. The service has always been stellar, fast, and friendly. The burgers are fabulous but my go-to is the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with bar fries! Mmmmmm! It’s so big you can split it with a friend! Add a Bloody Mary with a beer chaser and you’re all set!

I felt very unwelcome. Like only the regulars are allowed to come in there. The bartender seemed to have a problem with my friend and I, maybe because my friend suffered a traumatic brain injury and acts a little different? But we weren't allowed to order drinks until we sat down. My friend liked his garlic bomb burger but my plain (I specifically requested this) bacon cheeseburger was so over seasoned I almost gagged at the first bite. But the atmosphere was quiet when we first got there and there were a lot of cool pictures on the wall. I'm only reading two stars because my friend liked his food. We will never be going back.

I've been coming here for years!! I always enjoy my meal and they have Mohawk! (Ginger brandy) definitely recommend. On Thursdays they they have a special burger with special sauce that's different every week. I'll be going back to try the next one!

Been here now 5 times in last 6 weeks bringing friends from all over. Everyone says the same -- a comfortable and friendly place to chill and enjoy others company and maybe a football game. Sabrina is the best! Extremely friendly and fun, and fantastic game day specials served in iced, frosty mugs! ??

Wednesday wurst..... A blank canvas to a great meal. Mustard, sauteed onions, Sauerkraut, Ketchup, Brown Maustard, these are even great plain. Don't forget the cheese curds for the complete Wis experiance.
