Jen's is the best soup ever!

My eggs were cold. The hash browns were good but close to Luke warm. The biscuits and gravy were also cold and had a peculiar taste to them. My wife’s omelette was a little better in taste but also just Luke warm. I believe the food must have been in the back a long time because it took a while. Our waitress checked on us once when she brought out the food. The cashier would not speak and finally smiled when I said, “Have a wonderful day!” It was our first time at this restaurant and our last. It’s always unfortunate to have this kind of experience.

The service and atmosphere here is very unique. The prices are fair and portions decent. Some things are hit and miss, but never terrible or mediocre. They do lack a bit of consistency sometimes with their recipes/dishes. The apple pancakes were the best I’ve ever had. Comfort food for sure!

My first time visiting. First time I have ever seen Valentines Day decorations up along with Christmas Decorations still up. Service was slow though we were quickly greeted and warned "I'll be with you as soon as I can". Ordered the special Pastrami sandwich and chili, both were OK. I had a Diet Coke and asked for a refill when the food came and once again was told "sure as soon as I can". Apparently that window of opportunity never occurred. I guess I was expecting more after living here for years and hearing great things all the time. Still I will be back sometime, I love eating local.

Really unique place to stop for breakfast or lunch, no line on a nice cold Sunday. Very happy we didn’t have to wait for a table. My special Breakfast bowel with wild rice, eggs, apples was exceptional and not a typical breakfast item. It was light but filled me up, definitely would order again.

I have been to Jen’s twice now. The first time service was a bit slow but it was a busy Saturday and seemed like they didn’t have many servers so it was understandable. The food was amazing, 5 stars…However I’m giving them 4 stars because of my second visit. I ordered the same thing both times, eggs bendict. The first time again, amazing…second time as you can see in the photo it was not a runny egg. Not only that but I could tell right away it was too hard even before cutting it. So if I could tell that, I’m surprised the cooks didn’t know that as well. I’m not the type of person to tell them to redo it (plus I was hungry and didn’t want to wait)I’ll definitely go back…I’m guessing this was just a fluke thing

Lovely Christmas decorations but food quality very poor compared to previous years visited here. BLT was awful, dark green something instead of lettuce could not be chewed, bacon was hard, like made the day before and over cooked. “Famous” coleslaw was old and dry, no flavor not like it used to be. Chicken vegetable soup might have been good if not loaded with pepper. From arrival time at 12:30 pm to food received time was 45 minutes.

Very quaint little restaurant. They were very busy because it was a Sarurday and there was a local event that afternoon. We waited for a while for our waitress to take our order, and we waited quite a bit for our food. Again, they were busy, and not many waitresses were working. There were three of us, including my daughter, who uses a wheelchair for mobility. My daughter had the breakfast burrito with hashbrowns, which she enjoyed very much. She enjoyed the Dutch apple pie for dessert. My sister had the turkey wrap special, which came with carrot raisin coleslaw and her choice of fries. I had what they call the Pittsburgh hamburger. A burger with pickles and fried onion on grilled sour dough bread. It was very delicious. I liked the carrot slaw, but it was a little flat. It needs some vinegar or other seasoning. I chose the cream of mushroom and chicken soup, which was creamy and wonderful. I finished with the "famous pineapple upside down cake" and was a little disappointed because it was a bit dry. Average meals are about $12, and I think they're worth it.Wheelchair accessibility: They are accessible, but regular table seating is limited to 3 tables, so you may have to wait to be seated if you are unable to transfer to a booth.
