The Green Owl Pizza

We were in town for a family trip to the wilderness and we wanted to try a new place. And boy was this pizza a hit. We got the BBQ chicken pizza and a pepperoni pizza. That BBQ chicken was delicious. The chicken tasted like it had been smoked and it was shredded. The pepperoni pizza was also very good. The crust also had a good crunch to it! We will be back when we take another trip to the dells!

The atmosphere was unbeatable. Table with a lake view. Very quiet and peaceful. Off the beaten path. Very friendly ducks were highly entertaining for my kids.

Thin crust pizza. We got a lobster pizza and it was perfect.

The traditional pepperoni/sausage pizza was a little heavy on the cheese for our taste but otherwise it was satisfactory and received no complaints from my family who ate it all up!

We ordered a pizza at 6:09. It said it would arrive at 7:14 at the latest. The ordered never showed up. We went to get the order at 7:30. It took another 30 minutes. We couldn’t find anyone in the restaurant that actually worked there. Several patrons were very rude to us. We wanted to cancel our almost $70 order but they said they could give us a free drink instead. We finally got the food. It was not good. The crust was not homemade. Terrible experience. Sad we spent the money on it and everyone was so rude to us!

The good;
Server was spot on! Broken English, but knew his shit 👍.
Ordered veggie pizza, it was good. The thick crust would have been better, but wasn't offered to use (we seen it later).
Not busy at all 😁.
Clean 👍.
No loud Music at all, just good atmosphere.

Bad;
When entering from the basement side, u walk straight through the smoking area. There were 2 people outside smoking. They said hello, but I kept walking. Nothing ruins a meal more for non smokers than walking through cigarette smoke 🤮.
It was March and all, but we had to eat with our coats on. Pretty chilly inside.
The kids corn dog bites n fries weren't very good. Granddaughter loves corn dogs. These were made in homemade batter, she wouldn't eat the inside or outside of them. She did eat the fries, however, we (the adult vegetarians) could not. They cook them in the same grease as the fish 👎🤮.

The peanut butter cheesecake was great for just $5.00. (CORRECTION... The cheesecake is now $6.00. they need to update the website). I just wish they didn't smother the chocolate topping onto the cheesecake. They say it comes that way, then they add more. The girls loved it, I don't eat chocolate 🫤

All in all, we would be back.
Very quiet, a little nook out of the way, away from the touristy crap everywhere else.

What a GREAT Wisconsin take on the Cuban sandwich. From Detroit, I’ve had Cuban sandwiches from Miami, The Keys, Caribbean, and South America, your variation was in my top 4. Pulled pork and shaved ham that you can only get locally. Absolutely delicious.
BTW, my son got a pep pizza and said it was a 10 out of 10.
The delivery driver, Aubrey, was very courteous and clever in calling ahead to ask which door would be the fastest to get to the room. The food was still hot.

We were there on 2/7/25 night. We came in with a group of 10 of us planning to hang out. There were roughly another 6 people by the bar. Slow night? We got our drinks and the bartender blasted the music. Fun time! Until we asked him to please lower the volume the speaker was on our face. Our group on one side, the rest of the patrons were on opposite side of the long basement. He was not happy. He didn’t want us to have any say on the music and defended that the music would stay blasting. He was judgy and proud on his stance and didn’t want to accommodate at all. We explained we loved the music but we just didn’t want to leave with a headache. We wanted hang out and enjoy the night. The volume was more important so we simply said we will just take our group and spend our money somewhere else. Adjust your priorities, or not. Customer experience was definitely not the focus of tonight.

Came here with a group of 14 to have fun and enjoy the evening. Poor service and extremely rude. To the point that we didn’t even finish our drinks and we walked away. That’s fine we will take our money somewhere else.

The service was very friendly, the pizza had fresh ingredients, the atmosphere was cozy! I highly recommend the white owl pizza for vegetarians, but the others look delicious too. It's December, but I can imagine that in the summer, the outdoor seating by the lake is lovely.

First time at the Green Owl. We arrived at 4:00 pm, opening time. Bar/restaurant was very quiet, we were the only ones in the place. Nice view of the lake. Ample parking. Food was good. We had pizza and lobster roll. Food was a bit pricey.
