Palenque Mexican Bar & Grill

Found this place by chance while in Beaver Dam for the Arts & Peony Festival. Enjoyed lunch on the patio. Table service wss fine but it took a long time for our food to come out. The carne asada was delicious and plentiful. My cousin ordered a burrito and said it was bland. She also ordered a strawberry margarita and was not impressed (said the tequila was harsh and bitter).

Got to love when you call 10 minutes before they close and just want three hard tacos but they tell you they're closed... customer service since COVID is a hard thing to find! That was after deciding to return hoping the night people were better than the day people after My last experience....The food is great but the people can be standoffish. I go there quite a bit and I asked nicely if they could wrap my taco separately so it wouldn't get soggy and somebody even came and confirmed what I was asking so that was two people and then of course I get home and my taco is just laying on top of my rice completely soggy. I know in the end it might not be a huge deal but what happened to customer service and trying to satisfy your customer? It's like the kitchen staff at these places just want to give you the bird instead of your food. I won't be going back for a while that's for sure...

I was charged 8 dollars extra the next day for tips on top of that when I went to figure it out with them the bill was higher than what I paid and Isomeone at the restaurant added a tip without my consent would not recommend
