Was driving by and stopped in. Had my very first beer here. The bartender was very nice and friendly. She was very, very, very welcoming. Telling us about the history of the bar and pointing out the different pictures on the bar counters and what they were about. Hope to come back again to try the food. Everyone was very friendly and nice!

Small.town bar with food. Great place to go. The people working there give their all. Popular place to stop if touring the area on a motorcycle.
Parking: There is more parking behind restaurants, so don't think they don't have room. Also, back entry so you don't have far to walk. However, uneven gravel can be hard for a senior or handicapped, but well worth the effort.

I’ve always really enjoyed this spot but hadn’t yet eaten here until tonight. Had the four piece broaster chicken meal and it was outstanding. I’ve had a lot of soul food and their kitchen holds it down well. The bartenders are always friendly and the prices are very economical. It is the kind of place where you’ll feel a bit out of place if you are from out of town but the locals are always nice. Stop by for a beer and a bite. You won’t regret it!

We’ve lived 4 miles from the Lawton Bar for the past 6 years, always commenting “we should try their chicken” when we would drive by.
Tonight, we finally gave it a shot.
Let me tell you, I’ve never had better service and their chicken is juicy, hot, fresh, and flavorful.
When I got home with our take out order, I noticed that our Jo Jo’s were missing. I called back and the lovely lady working apologized and offered to throw something in for the trouble of going back.
Y’all, when I got home the second time, she hadn’t just tossed in the freebie item, she also included an envelope marked “sorry” and “thank you” with a $10 gift certificate inside.
This is how you treat a customer. This is how you make a repeat customer, even though a minor mistake was made. This is country kindness and small town good people.
