“Quaint little bar in BFE! Friendly bartenders, great service, superior selection of drinks, delicious menu, and the pull-tab machine keeps the kids busy…winning money for ya nonetheless ;)”
“OMG the homemade scones are to die for! Love the blueberry/lemon as a classic but Mexican Chocolate was so fun with a hint of spice! Im a drip coffee fan and theirs did not disappoint!”
“Great atmosphere, a huge tap list including NA and selzers, plus a full bar and some food options.Lots of seating and chill vibe for relaxing and socializing. I would love to get to this place again soon.”
“Exactly what you would expect from a cafe, skillets, coffee, and immaculate vibes! Not much of a gluten-free place, only options really are the skillets. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his wrap and fries tho, and i have to say, it smelled amazing!!!The skillet I had was mediocre, but then again im not much of a fan of skillets to begin with, so im biased. Great prices!Dietary restrictions: Nothing note worthy, not many gluten free options.”
“My only complaint is I don't live closer! Fantastic food, Mei Mei is lovely to chat with, and if you haven't been, she keeps a board with free cookies customers can purchase for each other. I always make sure to buy a few for nurses or social workers when I stop by ?Dietary restrictions: Some gluten free options”
“Rockstar experience. Great Service, incredible food, awesome cocktails and a bevy of brews. This is a five star experience and you should eat here a minimum once a week. Tell your friends they are gonna want to know.”
“I LOVE this place! If could, I would 10 out of 10 recommend. I think the best food item there would either be their double chocolate muffins… or their breakfast Panini. Their paninis are like a warm, cozy home with absolute deliciousness tucked inside. And their Baristas and anybody else who works there are amazing!”
“we drive an hour to eat here. the burgers are the best tasting beef to the point i asked where they get there beef from and i actually drove 1.5 hrs ro purchase some. i dont know the bar tender/waiters name but he is there everytime we drive there but he is fantastic and always smiles and hussles to accomadate his customers.Kid-friendliness: bar tender is awesome”
“Just had their battle burger. This is my fourth establishment that I've tried. The first three places were ok, nothing to brag about. I was ready to order a second Paddy's battle burger to take home right after finishing the first. It was so delicious. This burger is so unique, the only way to eat it, is with a fork. There is no cheese on it, so how they get such amazing flavor is beyond me. Maybe it's because they use local ingredients? I've eaten here before and have fallen in love with their Boxty's. No doubt about it, best food in River Falls!!! Nice and friendly atmosphere too.”
“I don't get out here every Sunday like I used to but even though I haven't been in in a couple few months... today beertender Carla cheerily greeted me like I was just in. We both laughed as we remembered one another but neither of recalled the other's name. Unfortunately the potential weekend with owner Nick or brewer Brett have become more rare.... but the possibility is always worth it. On one of the last Saturday encounters w brewer Brett we discussed his and hoppy beers. After he walked away.... panic set it!! When he returned I said: you realize I wasn't insulting your beers, correct?! Brett politely replied: no, it's a style you don't like. Relief!!During our discussion I asked his input while I tasted through his IPA's. Despite not being an IPA fan, which the majority here are approachable. I can't think of a beer I've ever had here I didn't like! Let's talk bottle releases... over the years the prices have remained... a very affordable $15 a bottle or two for $25! I always get two; one to drink now and the other to stash in my cellar. As a sour fan, the annual Berliner Bash in June is a not miss event!! The annual PRIDE beer release is always a great time too, this past year I chatted up the brewer about the ingredients and how much it took of everything to get the beer he wanted and why he had to separate out the edible glitter he wanted to put in the beer. The past two years the brewery has done a beer deal... a shirt, sunglasses and a beer for a great value! I appreciate that the tap list lists the beer name, ABV and price for each size pour. I always tend to sit at the bar inside but they also have several picnic tables. There is also a tv if you want to catch a game. They often have little markets inside for local shopping and often has live music at night. There is a small parking lot next to a few pergola covered picnic tables. You can usually park in the cul-de-sac. Several patrons come in off the bike trail. If I drive all this way for a beer I tend to only have a few so that I can push on to downtown to Swinging Bridge. There is a to-go cooler of bottles and crowlers near the end of the west side of the bar. Last year I wanted to get a mix six pack as a gift, beer tender Erica was fantastic wit the assist. The customers here are just as fantastic & friendly as the beertenders...as I have run in to several of the same people on my random stops in. You're about to read the quirkiest thing I have ever posted in a review... Rush River has the SOFTEST toilet tissue!! Weird?! I know but I promise you. Rush River not only has deliciously great beers on the regular; they frequently do special releases. On occasion the beertender will put out bowls of pretzels, or Cheetos, or cheez-its. Rush River is everything you could hope for in a brewery. Thanks Rush River for consistently having friendly beeertenders pour delicious beer in a comfortable tap room, cheers!”
“Best Mexican food I’ve had in a long, long time. Maybe ever. Restaurant is more casual, with order at the counter, but done in a super cool way and really chill and relaxing. Full bar and everything was done with the fineness of a high end restaurant. Would definitely go back several times a week if I lived closer.”
“Absolutely amazing food! My boyfriend had the prime rib and he said it’s by far the best prime rib within a 50 mile radius! I had the filet mignon and it was so delicious. Our server was great and the owner even came over to speak with us which we thought was very nice! Definitely our new favorite place to eat which is hard to find these days!”
“We always enjoy our ride in the county and ending up in Broz Bar in Ellsworth. We enjoy their burgers and the special they offer. Yesterday we were the for the Monday special, Spaghetti. It's a great value and also very good. We will be back there again and very soon.”
“The cutest café around. So welcoming to all. Great service consistently. Tasty, delicious meals, whether enjoying breakfast or lunch. The cinnamon and caramel rolls are amazing tasting, also.”
“Best Maid is an outlet store for a baking company, so atmosphere isn't involved, but good, fresh bakery & friendly helpful staff at important, fortunately they nail those two items. I've been shopping there for years & plan to continue. They do not accept cash, just credit/debit cards & checks. There's handicapped parking, but the entrance door is not handicapped friendly, but an employee always takes my purchase to my car, couldn't ask for more!”
“I'm from Maine but I visit my bestie in Wisconsin as often as I can. We usually end up at Johnnie's when I come down and it's always a good time. The drinks are great and the people are even better.”
“Crazy good pizza with the thinnest crust ever. Cheese all the way to the crust. Foldable, hangey slices but were cut as big squares.Young gal and guy working were very cordial with quick service. Will be stopping again every time we come home from Spring Creek MX Park. DON'T SLEEP ON THIS PLACE!”
“Embarrassed to say it was my first time here after 19 years in town! What was i thinking! Great food. Wish it was warm enough to sit outside. The appetizers were excellent. Chicken strips, wraps, and burgers were all excellent as well. And I love the crinkle fries! Will be back!”
“Shooter's Pub is a very relaxed and friendly establishment at all times. Their drinks are very reasonable, and the staff treats you as if they've known you for years. On the weekends it's the place to be! The live music is always exciting and loud ?”
“Absolutely love the food here! I’m glad it’s family owned bc it’s literally one of the top 3 best restaurants this town has to offer! I had this one entree where they use real crab meat instead of imitation (thank goodness) and it was so dam good!!!”
“Love the pudding shots here. Did get an expired beer and asked if I could get a replacement but the bartender said it should be fine. Haven’t gotten sick yet!! Make sure you bring cash to this bar, no cards.”
“The baristas are always personable and can translate what I say I want into an actual drink. Like when I say “I want blended caramel latte with an extra shot of espresso”Parking: The caribou is located in a grocery store so plenty of parking. Plus, there’s a drive through.”
“Great local spot. Very clean and great service. ? I had the chance to meet a couple of the owners and they were the best. I recommend giving this place a shot if you're driving through!”
“Great food made fast and fresh. Friendly staff. We visit here often and plan to continue. Try the house version of your favorite dish-it's not on the menu but it's usually pretty great! We especially love the teriyaki chicken skewers and the house lo mein. The beef and broccoli and cashew chicken are delicious. Sometimes we t order the mei fun, too.”
“My now-husband and I have been coming here since we met back in 2015 and he's been coming here a lot longer. Emma's is one of those comfy townie bars that accepts all ages, genders, sexualities, races, etc. The bar staff is always friendly and prices can't be beat, especially for those of us who live in Minneapolis/St. Paul. We enjoy coming in and seeing some old, friendly faces. Pretty small in size (especially the bathrooms!) and can get pretty crowded on the weekends, but not always the case. Love Emma's!”
“We stopped by for a bite to eat about 4pm. The place was easy to find and we found a seat immediately. The waitress/bartender got us menus and drinks quickly. We ordered the saracha curds and seasoned tots to start. The curds were delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. Our main course was the deluxe bacon burger and the crispy chicken sandwich both with fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and had an ample amount of toppings. The crispy chicken sandwich was cooked a bit on the crispy side so it had a nice crunch. It was juicy and delicious. The tomato and lettuce finished the sandwich giving it that delicious flavor we all love. The fries were hot but a bit undercooked. The smaller fries were ok but the larger fries were a bit soggy. Another 30 seconds in the dryer would have been all they needed to be perfect.Overall we had a pleasant experience. The food was very good, the service was exceptional, the price was great for the quality of the food. I highly recommend you stop and see for yourself how good this place is.”
“We had lunch at Juniors with a larger group. The waitstaff was extremely helpful, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was great for our group size. I would recommend it to anyone in the area.”
“Sawyer Joe's is a cute little place with a very calm atmosphere and one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Grab a Highway 10 Burger if you get that chance and a side of cheese curds. Absolutely delicious!”
“If I could give a higher rating I would. What a fun local bar, we stopped on our way thru, not only did Lana the bar tender make us feel welcome but so did the regulars. Fun stop. Of the 4 local bars we stopped at, this one was the best by a landslide”
“Just ate 4 tacos, that were really good! They were very very filling and had a ton of flavor. 10/10 in every category. Cassidy is a fantastic cook/bar tender! They pour the Jameson very generously here and I had to have my son drive home. This place is close to my home, thankfully but I would drive many miles if I had too!”
