Merrill & Houston's Steak Joint

Very nice. 2 time i have been. The first time was amazing the serves and ambience was Wonderful. Went back the for a second time and it was not as nice as the first time. We sat on the patio and it was not a nice as i was hoping. Went for a romance date night not so romance .

I can't comment on the food. I eaten there before it it's been good. Went there for my birthday and was herded into the far back room, which was packed and loud! I asked if we could sit somewhere else (within the half full main dining area). No. I stated I literally couldn't hear anything over the top of the other people in the room and asked again. Again the answer was no (within the half full main dining area). We got up and left. Went to Luckys #7 burger and had a wonderful burger, loaded fries, and cheese curds!! 5 stars for Lynch's #7. I may or may not go back to Merrill's. They didn't really care too much about our level of comfort.

My husband and I both ordered ribeyes medium rare. His was medium well with a very slighthint of pink. Mine was well done brown throughout and very dry. After waiting more than a half hour to be served with our food, I did not have the time or energy to send it back. Our waitress was great and that wasn't her fault. Atmosphere was too loud for us to enjoy conversation. The lobster bisque and "the works" steak topping was too salty to enjoy.

We have been here several times. All have been very good. Last night was the best yet. The service was great. The calamari was excellent. So was my shrimp scampi and my husbands New York Strip steak. It was our anniversary and picked the Brownie sundae for dessert. We were in the back dining room this time and it was very nice. It was a super evening out!

The steaks were amazing. Au Gratins weren't hot. Salad and lobster bisque were very good. Calamari was extremely salty. Service was sub par. Waitress wasn't very attentive.

We were there for sla special birthday dinner & they delivered on all points! The food was exceptional. The cocktails were even better. Front desk & wait staff were super friendly.

We were welcomed at the door warmly and asked if we were celebrating anything which I thought was the lovely touch. As it turns out, my mother was in town from out of state and we were celebrating finding our wedding venue. Jasmine our waitress was incredible. She was so kind and had answers for all of our questions as it was our first time there for all of us. Our food was amazing. Overall experience was spectacular🖤🖤

Our waitress Kenzie was wonderful! She was so sweet and attentive. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. Will certainly be back!

Poor cooking. 3 times to get a steak cooked correctly with the last being so over salted it was inedible. Manage gave half hearted attempt to correct. Overall poorly done

The hostesses were pleasant and accommodating with our seating. Our server was equally as pleasant and her recommendations were perfect. The mixologist made a perfect lemon basil martini and the chef provided amazingly delicious food. The coconut shrimp was fresh and extremely tasty! The bread was warmed and fresh as well. The entrees were perfect! We had the porterhouse steak and petite filet mignon! Oh and the cream of mushroom soup was beyond delicious!!! Hats off to the chef and to the hiring of the amazing employees!

Great steak. Great food. Waitress you could tell went outside for a smoke several times and smelled horribly! Very off putting!

Amazing food! Prices are for celebratory dinners, but worth it! Try bone in pork chop and salmon too.

Food and presentation was amazing. Way better then expected. Waiter did an amazing job. Wasn't waiting very long at all for food or drinks. Will be returning. Made our anniversary memorable.

This was our first experience at Merrill and Houston's and we have to say, everything that we expected! We were warmly welcomed up front and were impressed with the warm ambiance. The wait staff was very friendly and very helpful in explaining the various menu options. We plan to return soon!

We celebrated our 12-year anniversary with our first visit to Merrill & Houston, and the evening was wonderful in many ways. The staff provided excellent service, and the dining experience was truly spectacular. My main disappointment was that the steaks didn't quite deliver that signature flavor we expect from a top-tier steakhouse, especially given the price. We've frequented many steakhouses, and this one still felt like it fell short in that key area. On the plus side, the appetizers were solid—the feta and spinach artichoke duo was tasty. I also enjoyed a well-made Old Fashioned. Overall, great service and atmosphere, with room for the steak to better meet expectations.
