“We love the beer at CheezHead Brewing, but if you haven’t tried their food, you are missing out. Tonight we had the burnt end sliders and they were fantastic. Hopefully they are added to the menu or come back as a special from time to time. The staff is super friendly and food is fantastic.”

“This was our first time at Merrill & Houston's, and what a treat it was! The hotel and restaurant share a unique style, seamlessly incorporating ironwork elements into the design in a tasteful way — classic and stylish. We arrived early to enjoy a cocktail at the bar, and it did not disappoint. The basil-lemon martini was one of the best flavor combinations I’ve ever had. The selection of spirits rivals that of any upscale establishment. The service was top-notch. From the charming bartender to our perfect waitress, Rachel, everyone we encountered made us feel valued and well taken care of. Our "Geronimo Moment" appetizer was a delightful surprise — we’ll definitely be back for that Shrimp! As for the main course, if there was any doubt about making this steakhouse one of our regulars, it was quickly erased. The meat was perfectly cooked as ordered, well-seasoned, and the additions were excellent choices that truly enhanced the dish. The salad, soup, potatoes, and dessert were all delicious as well. I wouldn't change a thing about this dining experience. For the quality, options, and overall experience, the price was reasonable for the area. My only regret is not visiting sooner. Merrill & Houston's is a must-try for special occasions, business meetings, family dinners, or even just drinks and appetizers.”

“While I definitely enjoy Zen and think they are quite delicious, typically very timely. Today in a snow storm, my pick up order was 40 minutes delayed and the delay was at no point communicated to me. There was no place to wait and so after about 15 minutes of standing, my 30 week pregnant self just helped myself to a chair at a table. I could tell the hosts were running, but the lack of communication was very disappointing.”

“My wife & I discovered Jerry's Cafe by accident today as we were traveling on to Madison. We both enjoyed our lunches of a chicken fajitas and Bacon Ranch Quesadilla that were fresh and very tasty in a very good portions. We will definitely stop there again when traveling through.”

“Harry should gets some beards nets. Hes amazing and he wants a beard. The net keeps the hair out of the food so its food safe. I work as a mintenance tech for a food company locally. “If you are looking for where the locals would go, then you've found it! The service was excellent and impressive given how busy it was (6: 45 pm on a friday). The drinks were tasty and refreshing (we both ordered the "Super Sipper") and the food was high end for small town tavern fair.”

“¡No se caigan en la trampa de propipina aquí! / Don't fall for the tipping scam! (English below) Fuimos el día 1 de octubre 2022. La comida estuvo bien y el servicio también. El problema es que no traen cuenta a la mesa y cuando pagas la cajera solo te dice el total. Mi esposo pagó y dejó propina como siempre. En el carro se fijó del recibo y vimos que había una carga extra de propina llamado "loom". La parte de abajo del recibo explica que la cuenta automáticamente carga con una propina de 15% por grupos de 4 o más, que éramos mi esposo, mis 2 hijas y yo. El problema es que no hay ni anuncio en el restaurante ni dicen al pagar. Además el sistema de tarjeta todavía hace la pregunta de propina!? Así que dejemos doble propina - $9.73 por una cuenta de $29.51. Es una trampa y me pregunto con quién se queda la carga automática ¿el dueño o la mesera? We went on 10/1/22. The food was fine as was the service. The problem is that they don't bring a bill to the table and the server just tells you the total when you pay. My husband paid and left a tip like always, but he looked closely at the receipt in the car and saw an extra charge called "loom." The very bottom of the receipt explains that loom is an automatic 15% tip for groups of 4 or more, which in this visit was my husband, my 2 daughters and I. The problem is that there's no notice in the restaurant nor do they tell you when paying. Additionally, the card system still asks if you want to add a tip?!? We ended up leaving a double tip - $9.73 on a $29.51 bill. It's a scam and I wonder who keeps the automatic "loom" charge - the owner or the waitress?”

“Nice atmosphere. cold beer. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Recommend: huge button, deep fried mushrooms; daily specialty flat bread; chicken strips; pork tenderloin sandwich... Puts Jersey's food/menu to shame. We will go back many more times.”

“Local bar on prairie ave in Beloit WI. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I usually have a pineapple and Malibu, the waitress suggested trying rum haven which is a top shelf liquor which tasted very delicious with the pineapple. They also have slots, and a pool table. Very nice atmosphere, clean as well. They have food but I have not tried it yet.”

My husband surprised me with a small birthday cake and I wish I had a photo to share, but that’s how FAST I ate it🤣🥰The whipped frosting and moist cake was FANTASTIC! Wow! Thank you! I will be sourcing my special occasions here from this day forward!”

“I came through here recently while on a working vacation with my boyfriend. I basically just went to get 2 cookies and a large diet Coke ay the soda ? fountain. The drinks are a bit on the expensive side. 2.89 for a large plus 2.00 plus for 2 white chocolate chip macadamia cookies. The clerk was nice.I also took the time to use the restroom. It was clean and had t.p. and the proper amount of soap. So, we ended up eating at a sit down resteraunt instead that evening. But, I like the fact that you can still serve yourself drinks here. But they are expensive.

Prior to visiting I was reading through other reviews and a lot of them mention the lack of smiling from the staff, and those reviews do seem to hold true. Working in the food industry isn't always the best so I completely understand. Despite the lack of smiles, the one staff member we interacted with was very nice. When the milkshake I had ordered didn't come out with our food initially, she upgraded it to a large free of charge.”
