“We are “newer” to Janesville and had never been to Bessie’s until today! Jan. 1 is my birthday and we have found it hard to find places that are open. We were thrilled to see that Bessie’s was open on New Years Day! The restaurant was booming, which is always great to see. Our server Susy V. was attentive, friendly, and she went the extra mile to make my birthday feel special. The manager even allowed me to add an item to my omlet that wasn’t even an option. Overall we were thrilled by the hospitality. The food was delicious, the Bloody Mary flight was fun, and we saw a total of 11 planes! 10/10 experience. We will be back!”

“Holy cow! These ribs are the best I’ve ever had, seriously! Highly recommended!!! My boyfriend and I were driving by and decided to stop in for a quick drink. After meeting Aubrey and frEddie, we were sold! Super friendly service and hometown atmosphere made our stay longer than planned. We heard about the Saturday special with the ribs, baked beans and cornbread among a long list of other pork items we did not get, at least this time. We recommended Fast Eddies to any rib lovers out there! I considered them to beat anything ribs I had at ribs feast last year. The passion for the BBQ shined through every bite I ate. Great jobs guys! We will return soon.”

The new owners have done a great job updating the greens and still keeping some of the old favorites (the windmill, black panther, little elephant, and of course the donkey in hole #1). “we stopped by this morning, not sure what to expect, what we got was a spectacular breakfast. we were seated promptly, greeted by our server Tori, and water and coffee. The menu is vast, so it takes a few minutes to look over all the option. After Tori made a few suggestions based on what we mentioned we were use to ordering we made our choices. Maybe 10 minutes went by and our food was delivered to the table, cooked to perfection. It really started our day off in a great way.”

Still just a great place. Haven't been here for over a year. Stopped in on October 8th for a Charlie burger, onion rings, and chili. It was all great. Consistently good food.

I stopped in here for lunch today around 3:30pm. First time here. There were just a few patrons at the bar, but not that busy.

I ordered the Charlie Burger with onion rings and Ranch for dipping. The burger was great! Nothing fancy. Basically, a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. It hit the spot. The onion rings were fried perfectly.

This is a local bar with friendly service. Its small inside, but the food was really good!”

The one and only downside about this place is that it is only open March through October.”

He apologized because some of the pieces were a little small so instead of 20 pieces he gave us 28. He apologized again and I was like “don’t worry we’ll be back”. Food was great as always.”

“Our family has been a consistent customer with the store on Val Vista & Southern in Mesa AZ for many years. I tried to order online tonight but it wasn’t available at this time. My husband went to the store with a WRITTEN list of what we wanted and the store got it wrong. The pizza that should have been a family size was only a large when we got it home. It had far less toppings on the pizza than all our previous orders. As much as I like PM pizza, I’m not sure I’ll go back. I can’t reach the store by phone as there is construction in the area and the phones are out for the duration. Very poor customer service today!”

“The staff was excellent!!!! Now getting your hands dry after washing them - Terrible!!!! Paper Towel holder that was full wouldn’t put out towels and I can blow more air out of my mouth than their Super Small hand dryer put out!!!! As for the Food, the Fish was good last night, but was given the wrong fry’s, and didn’t like drink selection on the pop machine. Now I also bought a Rueben sandwich for work today and I think it has to be the second best that I’ve ever hand in life for Corned Beef.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Hometown Hub! I have been to many nutrition shops just like this one, but this one takes the cake by far! Dani is so welcoming, remembers little details about our conversations, always remembers me when I come in, and is always so nice. All of the employees are so kind and welcoming as well! I work in Beloit, but choose to stop into Hometown Hub to get my tea instead of the nutrition shop 10 minutes from my work! The vibe is 10/10, Miller is the cutest, and the teas are amazing 😍🤤 I have to try an aloe shot and a shake sometime!”

“My wife and I heard about willowdale through a friend and thought we give them a try for their Friday fish fry. We arrived earlier than their dinner serving hours and settled at the bar for an Old Fashioned which was excellent. We ordered our dinner at the bar and transferred to a table until the dinner service began. Our order easily followed to our table and was served by very friendly staff. We both ordered the beer batter cod with au gratin potatoes; the best of both we have had in quite some time. We had a fantastic experience; will definitely go again, and would recommend this Friday fare to anyone.”

The chicken and fried rice were delicious and the portions were just the right size for me. Egg drop soup had a really good flavor too. The sweet and sour sauce was thinner and slightly more sour but was very tasty. My order was ready when I arrived. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Staff was friendly. I called Monday on my lunch break and they said they don't take reservations and to call back the morning of around 11am so that I can put my name down for the dinner rush for that evening. So, I call back today around 11am, like I was told and was told they can't do that. If they're full there will still be a wait and that they're not sure why someone told me to call because they're "call ahead" wait list doesn't start until about 4:30pm/5pm. She said she would just add me to that list when they start it later tonight. Then I call back to let them know that my party had gotten a little smaller, as a courtesy to them, and I was told they had no knowledge that I had ever even called!!! Three phone calls were made and no communication was passed along. Red Robin, please learn how to communicate with each other. Train your staff on your policy for your "call ahead" dinner wait list so that every employee is on board of how it works. I found somewhere else to go to that GUAREENTED no wait for us. I highly suggest you use your down time when you're not busy to get better organized. Also, when I told Jessica, the manager, that it's fine and we would just find somewhere else to go, she simply replied with, "that's fine and have a great night." She expected me to know the names of all the people I talked to. Umm, shouldn't you know my name and party information since I've called three times? Won't be back anytime soon 😡 (Janesville, WI location)”

“This was an amazing experience! We were on the way to the Shamba Safari with my husband and toddler. We stopped for a quick lunch. The place is very nice, clean and welcoming. The food was fresh hot and delicious. The tenders were juicy on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside. Fries were fried in fresh oil , just right crisp and mush in the center. Their signature sauce is also nice. The servers were super polite and courteous. Trenton went above and beyond, super welcoming, nice and polite. Made friends with my toddler and gave him to choose a take a way gift- a small soft baseball. He checked with us if everything was fine and needed anything. Very helpful and nice stall. And quality food. Highly recommend this place. And our toddler loved the fries.”

I should have waited before doing a review as it wasn't fair for a new restaurant who was inexperienced. I waited a while and gave them another chance. Today it is one of my favorite restaurants. Their classic chicken bacon cheese sandwich is my all time favorite. Best chicken sandwich out of all the chicken restaurants in Janesville (and as everyone knows there are way too many in Janesville). The chicken is so crispy and thick. Absolutely delicious!! The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. I have added this new review and updated my rating to 5 stars.”

“I've been there a few times this winter, especially since they have their Senior Lunch special between 1-3PM !!! Everything has been really good, service has been just fine !!! This Old Veteran has been happy, especially with the lunch prices on my way and back from the Madison VA., Wish the had a bit longer Senior specials !!! 5/26/26.”

“Did car side pick up, which is really nice to do. Ordered Fiesta Lime chicken for the first time. The rice was bland and dry. The chicken was cooked okay but had no flavor, even with the melted cheese on it. And the tortilla strips had no salt or flavor and they were not crunchy. Plus I did not get any Pico! Needless to say I was disappointed. In the future I'll stick with the Oriental Chicken salad, which is great.”
