It's an absolutely stunning interior that somehow isn't loud despite being wood everywhere.Tried their schnitzel and sausage platter and both were done well. The mashed potato side was pretty amazing. Tried the lava cake and turtle pie and they were quite enjoyable.Would highly recommend, and will definitely return sooner than later.”

“Great food and a good variety on the menu! You can tell there are a lot of regular customers who enjoy this place. Drinks were pretty good, we got there a little early and it was super busy but they were able to accommodate us anyway. Every time we go here we enjoy it.”

“Second time there, for Friday Fish fry. The Baked Cod dinner is so good!! It comes with 2 or 3 pieces of cod baked/fried, ( your choice) if you go early in the day you get a choice of fries, regular or beer battered. Later in the evening you can choose a baked potato instead of fries. The dinner also includes a bit of cole slaw.This is one of the best fish fries I’ve had, and it’s at a fair price.Highly recommend.Since last time I was there, the floors and ceiling have been replaced. The place looks so much better.”

“I strongly recommend the fish on Fridays. I always recieve a wonderful 3pc cod dinner, baked potato, choice of 4 different side salads, fresh baked roll with plenty of butter. I also tried the fresh homemade Blueberry cheesecake and it was so delicious. I always have a great experience and the waitresses are always on top of things and very friendly. Best fish served in this area hands down. It's always fresh and hot I'll continue to give them my business every Friday.Kid-friendliness: Waitresses are fast friendly and offer exceptional service”

“I enjoyed scrambled egg nicely browned, hashbrowns, crisp, bacon, a two biscuits and gravy. I took home, for the next day, a chocolate chip Duck Butt muffin.This was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time it was prepared as I wanted, and it was very good . The people there are very friendly and prices are fair.This is a rural working farm café, so if you’re looking for spic and span, this is not the place for you. (Only reason why I gave four stars)If you enjoy the farm life and want a very good food definitely stop by.They have limited hours and days open, but well worth it!Cash only!”

“Great country bar with good bartenders, good food, and a great band today. We wanted to see the band and decided to go early to get a table to sit at. Good thing because it did get busy. Just had some boneless chicken wings and Bloody Marys. Very good. There is a facebook page that will show you updates to specials and activities.”

“Great biscuits and gravy.They don't understand a burger comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles. They actually charge for the onions and tomatoes then after charging 1.50 for those you only get a almost non existent portion for the burger. The fries could be bigger. Seems like there has been a change in atmosphere there. I really dislike seeing one lady wait on me. She's limited on English and can't make a decent judgment call on things.But the biscuits and gravy are still very good.”

“A passable Chicago-style hot dog. I occasionally pass through Brodhead and always wanted to give this place a try. As a Chicago dog aficionado, I wanted to see what they had to offer. The place is a simple drive-through or walk-up order only. Prices were reasonable. The food was decent, but lacked a few critical details. The beef hot dog was decent and had all the right toppings. The weak point was the bun. It was a nice, fresh potato bun, not the poppy seed bun you’d expect. The biggest issue is the bun was simply served at room temperature which really kept the whole thing from coming together. All in all a decent dog, but not worth going out of your way for.”

“We came here for the first time with a group of 14. I didn't have high expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly people and great service and very reasonable prices for the food. The filet I had was tender and perfectly cooked. And the fried cod was delicious. Our group was very happy.Parking: Don't park in the lumber yard across the street.”

“Awesome as always! We did half coffee flight and half cocoa fight, with order of cheeses curds and a cinnamon crunch muffin. The coffee and cocoas are just the right size to sample different tastes, and the cheese curds were some of the best we have ever had! Highly recommend this place!”

“The food is definitely 4 star and pizza is the UYScuti(biggest star)I like the atmosphere but others might find it too quaint. ( Loved the neon 50's style "spaghetti" sign walking in, truly representing a time when spaghetti was a draw-in like Chop Suey). As far as service it should get 4 stars, as wait( average)And staff service was excellent. I only gave it three stars because I go there once a year ( 2 hr. Drive from Milwaukee) and the last two times, the pizza we ordered was made mistakenly. ( Substitutions such as Pepperoni on half only, and adding sausage to a veggie pizza was not done. We were most adequately compensated with free dessert for this error.) My advice: stick to the specials as is or construct your own add-ons to the basic cheese. Ps. All three "skins" as we called the crusts in the 70s as Shakey's pizza makers, are distinctively different. We get the regular which is on the thick side, again like Italian Pizza should be. The table next to us got the carb loaded pan, which looked outstanding if you want one slice and will take the rest home. Thin, I will get it next time. Beware: THIS is real 'za, no namby-pamby-everyone is making- wood fired bread and cheese sprinkles.”

She used a coupon for me and I made sure to leave a 20% tip because the customers she had before me were not very nice. I love this location.”
