Great Friday night fish at The Butterfly Club in Beloit. The broiled and fried cod were both delicious with generous portions. Friendly service and a classic supper club vibe. Only downside—they didn’t have Blue Moon or Shock Top. Overall, a great experience and we’d definitely come back.
We love so many things about the Butterfly Club. Two weeks ago, however, we ordered the fried chicken Sunday special and were disappointed, as it was so salty, we could barely enjoy the dinner. Service was great, and everything else was wonderful. Please let your chef know how, at least on this Sunday, the chicken was extremely salty and not the usual.
Our bartender, I think his name was Shane, was excellent as were our drinks. Our waitress, Brenda was also excellent. Service and friendliness 5 stars.
The food was fine. A few people ordered the Prime Rib and said it was mediocre and certainly did not look like what is shown in the photos. The shrimp was overcooked as well. We would probably go back based on the service though. Thank you

The Butterfly Club is a classic Supper club! Opens at 4:30p and reservations are recommended. We had the Fish (Lenten special) The friwd cod was thick and moist inside with a crunchy coating outside, served with fries and coleslaw. Baked cod just as big and delicious, clam chowder was tasty too. Prices very reasonable.
Vegetarian options: Not much for vegetarians..pasta maybe but would have to watch the sauce. Small choice of salads.

Three of us, all adults, walked in before the restaurant opened, but the bar was open. One of us asked if we were able to come in. An older woman said the restaurant doesn't open until 4:30 and go sit at the bar, then handed us a pager. We asked if we needed to give a name, and she said, "you're just a number to me." We had drinks at the bar, and went to be seated when paged. The bar had almost flat Pepsi. We were stuck between 2 tables full of people, instead of staggering us or putting us in the middle of the room or the The opposite wall where no one was seated. We all 3 ordered steak, au gratin potatoes, two had the French onion soup, and one the salad. We had cold rolls like they were in the refrigerator. The soup was a little burned on top and tasted miserable. The salad was ok. We got our steaks, warm (one medium, one medium well, and one well done) and swimming in a pool of steak juice, a small piece of kale and two onion rings on there. The menu didn't state we would get onion rings, so, if there were an allergy, we would have been in trouble. The potatoes were only helped by adding salt. It was literally cubed potatoes covered in melted cheese in small ramekins. They did not season anything. All of our food was so bland. At least the water was good!
Wheelchair accessibility: I'm not sure if they had a ramp to get down to the bar. There are tables seated on the upper level, same as the restaurant, but I don't remember seeing a ramp no elevator.

Very disappointed. Our food had no flavor and was not good. Nothing like it used to be. Will not be back.

Wonderful place. Was there for a birthday party but the place was overwhelmed due to St Patrick's celebration. The place was jammed, so service was understandably slow.

Worst birthday dinner ever. Waited almost waited an hour after our reservation time to get be seated. Finally got seated only to have a waitress with an attitude, Lisa P.(she clearly didn’t want to be working this evening). She just took our drink order and left. The next time we saw her was to place our dinner order. Having never been to the Butterfly Club before we had questions which were answered with quick, curt answers. It seemed to take forever for our food to arrive and when it finally did it was lukewarm at best. My father’s ribeye (ordered medium rare) was mostly raw. My surf and turf was lukewarm to cold. The hot butter for the lobster was even cold. My steak also ordered medium rare was raw. The lobster was rubbery. My mother’s prime rib was blah at best. No offer of horseradish or steak sauce was made. We even had to ask for our drinks to be refilled. I ended up sending my food back only to now have a well done steak and still lukewarm lobster and butter. I did notice that everyone else’s food in the restaurant was served covered. Ours was not. The next time we saw our waitress was when she brought us the check. No follow up what so ever. We had planned to order after dinner drinks but decided against after our horrible food service. Upon leaving the restaurant, I did stop at the hostess station to tell them that it was the worst meal, service, & overall worst birthday dinner ever. The hostess’s response was ok, I’ll let someone know. It should have been let me get someone. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Hell, I’ll even drive the hour and half to my favorite supper club in the Dells over coming back here. At least there I know the service and food are top notch.

The butterfly club which was chosen by my wife for her birthday was a huge disappointment! our dining experience was sub standard at best.instead of dining in the main dining room we were lead through the dining room through a utility/furnace room to a small room with little to no heat very unacceptable for anymore wanting a pleasant dinner. Most meals were cool with others not done as ordered. Very disappointing. We'll and I speak for all that were in attendance will never return. The worst came when we had to return to the main dining area from a utility room and seeing everyone seated at nice tables and comfortable chairs while we sat in cast iron patio chairs. Words can't explain how everyone felt one last thing we saw our waitresses 3 times 1. To take our order 2. Bringing our food 3 Bringing the check

As we sit here waiting for my soda refill I will type this. waitress seen our small glasses of soda have been waiting a long time for refill. We ask for maybe two each so she won't have to worry about it . She says she can't and brings us a big pitcher of water like here drink more water. HUGE tip reduction! Food is great though. Check out my reviews we are all over trying new places and leave honest reviews. Treat everyone as if they are a Google reviewer like us. Our waitress was Lisa P.

Just ordered the house special..it was not good. Shrimp dejoh. Greasy Shrimp and onions on mushy pastry. Do not ever order it. We got au gratun potatoes and they were served in a small cup with an inch of hard cheese cooked over the top very difficult to eat and once cool ..impossible!

We love coming here from almost an hour away. I used to come with my parents years ago. I've never had bad food there! Now that we are older and have more time, we will come more often!

A+ for atmosphere and service. Food has declined over the years but their crab stuffed portabella mushroom is never disappointed
