Beautiful establishment, nice staff. The fact they didn’t address the table they sat directly behind us who kept gagging and coughing while laughing about drunkenly is unacceptable.
When customers have zero respect for an establishment or customers who have ordered food and their allowed to keep acting that way to the point you have to get up and leave because your not going to try to eat while someone continues to make gagging and dry heaving noise and laughs about it says a lot.
While the food is good the staff is nice the establishment is clean we won’t go back. Not when grown adults are allowed to act in that fashion and the owners and staff allow it and won’t address it then suggesting we could move tables. Like we really want to listen to the same thing across the room, and yes it was that loud and disrespectful.

Had a couple of date nights here and left happy each times. Good serving sizes, reasonbly priced for the quality of food. The pineapple fried rice was well-balanced, excellent sushi selection.

The food here is very good. I usually end up getting the Korean BBQ tacos for appetizer and the bimbimbop for my main course. Also their black garlic ramen is delicious. The only thing I would have to criticize is how close their tables are, I can hardly walk by other tables without brushing up against them.

The food here is delicious and the drinks are great! My only recommendation would be not to go too late in the evening. Even though the hours say they’re open until 9:30, if you arrive around 8pm the servers start rushing you through your order and meal. It makes the experience feel uncomfortable, like you need to hurry, even though there should be plenty of time left to enjoy dinner.
One thing to be aware of: parties over six people automatically have gratuity added to the check. From my previous visits, the staff doesn’t always remind guests about this, which I personally find a bit distasteful. I think it’s always nice to give a heads-up when the tip is included.
Other than that, the food and drinks are excellent and worth coming back for.

Called today to order food on fathers day for my father, which happens to be the 1 year anniversary of my mother (his wifes) passing. They wouldnt let me pay with a card over the phone. Thanks alot

While I definitely enjoy Zen and think they are quite delicious, typically very timely. Today in a snow storm, my pick up order was 40 minutes delayed and the delay was at no point communicated to me. There was no place to wait and so after about 15 minutes of standing, my 30 week pregnant self just helped myself to a chair at a table. I could tell the hosts were running, but the lack of communication was very disappointing.
I have heard good things about your restaurant so I placed a take out order on Christmas Eve. When we got the food home I discovered the pan fried veggie dumplings I ordered were not pan fried but steamed and were pork. I don’t eat meat. I was very disappointed. We had crab Rangoon which was possibly artificial crab? And veggie fried rice which was rice and frozen mixed vegetables? Very disappointing.

Beloit’s finest for your Japanese-Korean sushi, sashimi, bulgogi and more. Careful prep of both raw fish, cooked, and vegetable rolls. Plenty of soy sauce, ginger, and of course horseradish. [*young men might want to go light on the soy, just sayin’]

Tall lady at the front desk was extremely rude to both us and another customer in line, as well as fighting with another employee, making everyone feel uncomfortable. Food was good as always but atmosphere was hostile. Food took 20 minutes longer than they said it would.
