A quick, rude toned and hurried "hello" when I called. Only reservations for parties of 10 or more? Get over yourselves, I was trying to plan a nice dinner for our wedding anniversary. I heard it was a great place. I guess we'll never know.

Despite arriving late on a Friday night and facing a nearly 45-minute wait, we knew what to expect and were ultimately rewarded with a delicious meal. The chicken was exceptional, and we were able to customize our order with our preferred pieces. The fish, whether baked or fried, was equally impressive. Our meal was accompanied by acceptable rye bread and a delightful coleslaw.

The fish and chicken fry is very popular on Wed and Fri... The fish was okay, bland but with drawn butter... Tartar sce is awesome... Fries nice and crispy.... Chicken was delicious... But we walked in at 4:02 and was handed our check at 4:48... We didn't relax the whole time... She dropped things off while running and I just set my fork down and they grabbed my plate.. they tried to take his while he was still eating. It's like they were hovering making us feel like: "come in , sit down, eat and get the hell out"! I felt like they would panic if we ordered coffee at the end..... She talked so fast, that we didn't even understand her when she gave us change for a 100 bill, which was the wrong change... Which is understandable when everything is in fast forward mode... 2 people counted that change before we got it.... I understand their motive... I understand it's a small place and they need to get you in and out fast, which is fine, if that's what you're looking for, but we won't be back... She didn't even tell us what came with the fish fry until I asked her as she was running away.....

I have been to this place on a regular holiday season every year and this is the first year that it was horrible, the fish was overcooked he had to cut it with a knife the french fries were cold, the big fish had a real fishy taste on one of them it was not like it used to be very disappointing had to wait 2 hours to get seated. Only to get fish that would have had to be cut with a knife it was overdone was like it was double fried. It definitely was not fresh made as fast as the turnover was it should have been fresh and piping hot. Very disappointed will not go back..

Friday night! Food was cold (literally ate 2french fries they were that bad). Fried fish over cooked and breading was hard, baked fish was fine but cold, chicken was good. Tartar sauce had a very atypical flavor, coleslaw had no flavor. A bit loud but that is expected on a buy Friday night. The marbled rye was good!

The blue Heron is a traditional supper club and it could use a little refresher of its surroundings. The meal was excellent. We had the steak for 2. However our waitress was apparently in a hurry to catch her bus! Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely go back but just make sure I didn't get that waitress again.
