The vibe in this place is very welcoming. The decor is country cozy cool. Tons of seating for intimate or group meet ups. Beverages were yummy. Bonus, they have Lotus concoctions. A decent amount of food choices. I wasn't crazy about the grilled cheese special with the Applewood smoked bacon. The bacon was more candy and had an overpowering sweet like jelly flavoring. Needed more savory for my taste. My husband ordered the Wisconsin so we traded. He has more of a sweet tooth...
Food and coffee are great. They hire very friendly people who are passionate about what they do. They have a cloths boutique and bourbon room too. Nice place to relax. Not just a coffee shop it's a destination.
I have had the amazing privilege to stop in The Mill on multiple occasions on the way "up north" ( I'm from Illinois). Every time I go in there I am greeted like a local and made to feel like they know me. I recently ordered some coffee in a cute little tin and unfortunately along the journey the tin opened and the coffee spilled out. Of course this was no one's fault, accidents happen but in contacting The Mill the owners were amazing and refunded me.... something...
