We had a party of 9 that tried almost everything! Beets, marrow, empanadas, mixed grill, skirt steak, sandwiches, tacos, etc etc, including dessert. Every single thing was amazing. The service was wonderful. We were all impressed with the quality of ingredients, especially the freshness of the salad. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As half Argentean I am especially critical of Argentine restaurants. Growing up with grandparents that cooked from scratch is a hard act to follow. Food is very good and authentic, meat was cooked exact to order. sides were good and a decent portion. Prices are average for this type of cuisine and fair, not a bargain meal by any means. Churri was the lone detractor of this meal, I've had many variations of chimmichurri (including perfecting my own) this is the first I've had that had zero trace of garlic, which was odd as this is one of the only core ingredients shared across different styles. Criolla was good but a micro serving. Empanadas were tasty, again a slightly different filling than what I have been accustomed to, but good nonetheless. Desert cake was full of flavor and nearly perfect, but peach topping was too tart (and not sure if that was by design). Overall a very good meal, will be back for future meals.
We were very excited about eating here. My wife is a foodie, and we love Argentine parrillada. I took her for the Mother's Day celebration, but we regretted it very much. I think it's way TOO EXPENSIVE for what you get. The picture of the salad is a $8.50 Russian Salad, we felt insulted by this. The chimichurri is nothing but Argentine it lacks all the real ingredients and consistency of the original one. The meat wasn't covered on chimichurri, which is a signature of the Argentine parrillada. We got the feeling that the restaurant is trying to cut costs. The meat was not seasoned properly. One could tell that the right process wasn't followed. I want to say that the chorizo and morcilla we good, but I paid $160 for all this. It seemed outrageous. The service was very bad, we never got our water glasses refilled, they had only 1 waitress, the poor girl was very busy she tried to be nice but one could tell she was having a hard time handling all by herself. We ordered a mango juice, and since the waitress was busy, a lady with an angry face pretty much slammed the glass on the table and left. My son ordered a $28 Milanesa, which he didn't like at all. We are a family of foodies. we've tried several restaurants in Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago, and I have to say that this is the WORST Argentine restaurant we've tried. We won't ever come back because on the little details, one can tell that they are trying to save money, like not having enough waiters, portion size, etc. They should realize that food is an experience happening in real time. If you mess it up, you might lose customers like they just did with us. For the price we paid, we could have gone to Bazzar in Chicago, which is a REAL Argentine owned restaurant. It's was definitely a bad experience. If you want to spend your hard earned money, go elsewhere, not recommended at all!!!
Looking for authentic Argentinian comfort food? Go to El Gaucho Grill!!! Food is always on point and atmosphere is amazing. From the empanadas to the asado, everything is always great.
Family atmosphere, friendly staff, great authentic Argentinian -Uruguayan food. Tons of tvs and rotating videos of the countries. Soccer games and fun music (some days are live shows). My family, friends and I always enjoy eating and hanging out there. Summer time that have tables outside as well.
We asked for the steak to be well done and it was raw almost bleeding, the server does not know how to prepare cocktails, she shouldn't be allowed at the bar, the restaurant lacks a variety of items I am forced to give 1 star because there is no other choice. I will not recommend this restaurant, service, food and drinks in my books is a ZERO
My bill 258 dollars with horrible service 3/29/25 3:45pm
Really amazing place, absolutely delicious food and great plan for 2 or with friends.. love it.
First time here and we were very impressed! Alba was very attentive, friendly and informative! The food was full of flavor and the the restaurant was very clean. We will definitely be back.
awesome service, great dinner choices
The food here was absolutely fantastic. Service was very good too. The only reason that I did not rate it a 5 star was because it seemed a bit pricey for a sandwich. Don't get me wrong, there were very good ingredients on a huge sandwich, but it is still about 25-28 bucks for a sandwich.

I heard some friends talking about this place, friends with discerning palates who only call a place good if it truly is. We went, and every bite was exquisite. The atmosphere is wonderful; it makes you feel like you’re in Argentina. From the warm bread upon arrival, the perfectly made sangria, and the delicious grilled meats. Everything was just outstanding. Do yourself a favor and visit this Argentine gem!
Tony does a great job taking care of all customers with great food and service!
Excellent. The food is delicious, the empandas and soups are very good, I had a Bife de Chorizo which was perfectly cooked, we also had a Chivito Al Plato which is an Uruguayan dish and the portion is excellent. I want to emphasize that the service is excellent and the drinks are very good. We will always come back!
I was surprised by the flavors of this restaurant. Very good steak, salad, empanadas, and fries. The service was excellent, too. I am going back.
