The location is up for foreclosure. Nothing was indicated before making the reservation and weren't aware of this information until we arrived at the location to find it was closed. Extremely disappointed at the lack of communication or the fact that OpenTable wasn't aware of this.

Need a great steakhouse recommendation? Try Kurts Steakhouse! They actually pay their employees and never get steaks from Costco delivered from instacart!

Closed indefinitely due to employees not getting paid and tax evasion by the owner. Went to the restaurant a few months ago and wasn’t that impressed with the quality or service. It’s sad to see what was a great restaurant be run into the ground by poor management. Hope the employees will make it out alright.

Sadly, Jake's has now been permanently closed. Between tax evasion and paychecks bouncing, Jake's has been shutdown. Go see the TMJ4 video and article on it. Such a shame.

We had reservations for 6, confirmed twice over the phone, for last night at 7:30 pm. When we arrived at Jake’s it was closed! They had our phone number - the least they could have done was called us with a heads up. One of our couples was from out of state and wanted to go back to where they had their first date. This is totally unacceptable for a business!

What is going on at Jakes? We had reservations at 6:00 last night and they were closed. Nobody called us to let us know. Same thing happened on Friday March 22nd. We had reservations and they were closed. No call to let us know not to show up. Very odd to have this happen twice on Friday nights.

We had reservations for four at 6PM last night. When we got to the restaurant the parking lot was empty and a note on the door said something about the facilities management having closed the restaurant for the rest of the day. No email. No phone call. Just scramble to find a place for dinner for four after 6PM on a Friday night. Weak.

Made a reservation for our anniversary on June 21st. Went to the restaurant a few minutes ahead of our reservation time and was greeted by an empty parking lot. A small note on the door read that they were closed for facility maintenance. In the minute we were there a few other cars pulled in and were wondering what happened. My question is how hard would it have been to contact people so they didn't waste their time driving there. I have been to Jake's dozens of times and am severley disappointed at their lack of respect for their loyal customers.

Last time we will visit this restaurant. 6 of us for dinner. We sat in a small room off to side of entrance. Was fine. But apparently never told waite staff there was a party in the room after 15-20 minutes host was summoned said o will get someone to take your drink order and I can bring you some bread. This is not that large of a restaurant that when ever we asked for someone that it should take as long as it did drinks no one at bar and 5min to get drinks. No salt and peper on table,a missing potato,no silver ware when meal was served no butter for baked potatoes. Here is the real kicker. Its Monday there are specials. 6 oz filet $19.90 something as waitress said or a 14oz bone in.When bill arrives the bone in is $80 never mentioned that the 2 specials had different prices .for $80 could have had 4 of the 6 oz filets (thats 24 oz plus 4 baked potatoes) I could go on so I will during the meal we were visited by a gentleman who said that his company was brought in to improve the restaurant front and back. (Restaurant was closed for several months to clean house and make improvements) The Owners had better rethink is.
We will not be back and can assure you if anyone asks will not give any recommendations
Below is restaurant reply and email. What a joke I emailed Ashley several times to see what she/the restaurant was going to do to make it right Well as poor of an experience we had the dinning the management never replied to my emails

Service was a bit slow. Food was great except for the Brussels sprouts, which were burnt. I know they are supposed to be crispy, but not that charred. I will be back for sure.

I booked my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner at Jake’s Restaurant in June 2024. Not only was the dinner fabulous, the entire staff was wonderful.
Karen was so easy to work with, she made it so easy for us. Even some last-minute changes were made, and they were so understanding.
I visited several other restaurants for this event, and I will never regret having the dinner at Jake’s. Thank you Karen and your staff for making the evening a truly memorable event!

We had the Friday fish fry. Sadly, it was cod and not perch. Anyway, everything was good. Our waitress was wonderful!!! They only have the fish fry on Friday and it is a great value.

This is a tough review to do. I will start with the issues we had and end with the positives. First, my wife & I were there for our 8 year anniversary. When ordering our drinks my wife asked for the Hummingbird, they were out. She then asked for the watermelon cocktail, they were out. So she got the Cucumber spritz Mocktail with Vodka added. I asked for the Athletic NA beer, they were out. I got a Heineken 0.0 instead. We were also told that they were out of 2 of the steaks. We both ordered the same meal; 8oz Filet medium rare, twice baked potato & seasonal veggies (green beans). Our server didn't know the seasonal veggies when asked. We also ordered the truffle deviled eggs. During our entire time there the floor manager seemed to be either bothered by something, nervous...not really sure. He just kept walking in-between tables. Once our food came our server kind of disappeared. My wife and I were looking for something else to drink and probably would have gotten a 3 round if she would have noticed our drinks were empty. Now the positives. If none of the above bothers you, the food was very good. My wife loved the deviled eggs, I'm not a huge fan of truffle oil but I enjoyed them. The green beans were cooked perfectly. Not mushy, not crunchy, just right. The twice baked potato had great flavor and was a decent size. Our steaks were perfect! Perfect char, perfect seasoning and the cook was exactly medium rare. I don't like bashing a restaurant. I worked in the industry for over a decade. I know it's difficult. It just seems like Jake's needs a little adjustment in some areas. They've been around for awhile now and after tasting the food, I can see why

The bartenders were wonderful and our waiter (Jordan I believe) was great! It has been a very long time since we've been there and the food was as delicious as we remember. The bacon wrapped water chestnuts were the best!

Service is always A+. One diner was in a wheelchair & we were assisted well and accommodated well. Prices a tad high but so is every other restaurant. Quality was good. Only disappointment was serving size of Brussels sprouts that was small compared to our last visit. Pecan cheese breads appetizer was awesome!
