National Bakery & Deli | West – Brookfield

My #1 go to for ham and rolls. They don't compare to anyone else. National Bakery is truly an institution in this area.

Some of the best bakery (especially the DONUTS!!) around!!

The bakery just isn't great. I tried a variety of items and found so much inconsistency. The cheese pocket was very fresh, but the filled donut was hard as a rock. The buttercream inside the donut was fine, but the buttercream on the cake was grainy, and the cake itself was dry. I asked a few specific pastry questions that the woman at the counter couldn't answer, so if you're looking for technical or generational pastry knowledge, you won't find it here. I'm on the hunt for a good Brookfield bakery, and my hunt will continue.

I'm always a fan of National Bakery! This location is quiet, at least when I have gone. Offering an assortment of breads, bakery, deli meat, frozen baked goods, custom bakery, and more! Always fresh and delightful!!!

My dog loves their fresh baked dog bones made in the shape of a bone. His new favorite treat! Delicious pasta salad too. :-)

Bakery is delicious, and always great to get hot ham and fresh rolls on Sundays! Check their hours before stopping in, as they're not 9-5/24/7. They don't have to be.

I called another bakery (not National Bakery) that’s on Greenfield in West Allis, wanted to order a cake for the following week. The lady on the phone wasn’t very nice and told me I had to order online then put me on hold forever. So I hung up and called National Bakery. Boy am I glad I did. The lady that answered was so nice and so helpful. I got the most beautiful and delicious cake I’ve ever had. Really made my birthday special. National Bakery is my go-to bakery from now on.
