My husband and I visited this restaurant during our trip to Milwaukee while traveling from Southern California. We stopped by on a Thursday night, and there was over an hour wait. We noticed that guests with reservations were being seated, so reservations are definitely recommended. We decided to sit in the bar area, which still gave us access to the full menu. I really appreciated that they have their own farm and grow their own produce. We ordered two mains: the pork belly and a pretzel-crusted veal dish. We also had the beet salad with goat cheese, absolutely delicious! Overall, the food was excellent, and we’d happily go back!

We got there around 7 without reservations and it was going to be quite a wait for a table. The hostess recommended bar seating for faster seating which worked out great for us.
Atmosphere was pretty loud but not so loud as to prevent conversation. A loud buzz of background voices but comfortable. Lighting was dimmer than I prefer but not dark at all. Decor was warm and welcoming if not distinct enough to be remarkable or memorable. It was cozy in the bar.
Bartenders were fun and engaging without being obtrusive. They checkedmon us frequently enough to kept our drinks topped off and water filled. They did a great job.
The food was stellar. Not a bad bite of anything. The mushrooms and the butter roasted chicken were particularly delicious as was the dumpling soup.
I don't have a single thing to contribute that was less than excellent. It was a great dinner and a great experience. Thank you!

Great, fast service and excellent food at reasonable price for the quality. The menu is unusually organized by price rather than appetizers, salads, entrees, etc. but it wasn’t really a problem and the server was able to quickly explain it and answer any questions we had. They were very helpful in helping me find a dish that avoided ingredients that I have a sensitivity/allergy. Dessert recommendation of bread pudding with ice cream was a real winner.

Went for a lunch with friends. Our server Michelle was awesome and super attentive, even asking questions about specific types of bitters for us. The food was excellent and very fresh. Excellent attention to dietary restrictions and allergies. We will definitely be returning

Every time we have came we just keep getting more and more amazed that it just keeps getting better. Highly recommended!
Fabulous dining experience and wonderful staff round out the fantastic food that is offered at this place. It's one of my favorite places to bring out of town guests, and they always leave impressed.

I tried a few of their most talked-about items like the Cold Roasted Beet Salad with Feta and Candied Walnuts, the Cedar Plank Salmon, and the Short Rib Tacos, and every bite was impressive. The beet salad was bright, fresh, and full of flavor, the salmon was perfectly cooked with great texture and seasoning, and the short rib tacos had rich, tender meat with great complementary toppings that made them fun to eat. I also shared a side of Mac & Cheese which was creamy and cheesy in just the right way. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming with that farm-to-table vibe, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being over the top. The menu has a good mix of creative dishes and comfort classics, and everything I had was clearly made with fresh, quality ingredients. It’s the kind of place where you can take someone for a nice dinner out or just enjoy a good meal without fuss, and I would definitely go back again.
