Hachi Hachi Sushi & Hibachi Brooklyn

I’ve been wanting to go to this place for months.. today we finally did & I regret it. I’m currently pregnant & have been craving safe sushi for me to eat so I got the dragon roll with cooked eel in it. The taste was good the roll itself was small oh well though it was satisfying my sushi craving.. I get to the last bite & feel something sharp stuck in between my teeth it hurt to bite down & felt like it was cutting my gums! I finally get it out & it looks like it’s plastic??? My fiance takes the plastic piece up to the counter the guy he talked to had food in his mouth & didn’t seem all that concerned he just said “oh that’s fish bone” …..FISH BONE!? There shouldn’t be fish bone in my sushi roll!! I’m very disappointed with the staff & how the situation was handled my fiance is as well! We definitely will not be back & will stick to Zen sushi in Beloit & recommend zen sushi as well to all our friends & family! Better service friendlier staff & overall better food!

We visited Hachi Hachi in Brooklyn today for lunch and had a very pleasant experience! The food was delicious and the service excellent. Lunch specials were a great price for lunch portions, and the sushi was very fresh and flavorful and they had a good selection of items outside of sushi as well as a kids menu for your littles (or those in your group not into sushi). We didn’t realize the boba tea and poke bowl spot was around the corner, but we know now! If you are thinking about trying, don’t hesitate, definitely a pleasantly surprising find in a small town. We will definitely be back again - and recommend!

We waited a half an hour to even get water and Honestly the food was very medium the sushi took an hour and a half to come out we asked to get our check and the said no 5 more minutes then we waited another 15 minutes then when it came out it was not good at all and they gave us a ton of attitude

Unfortunately our second attempt for dinner was not much better than the first a few months ago. Maybe stick with the sushi being something with less odds of disappointing IMO, however we have not experienced that type of food at this establishment. My wife's hibachi vegetables were overloaded with sauce (way different than mine) and every piece of meat (chicken, shrimp and steak between both meals) were very over cooked-especially the shrimp. When the sides are curled and they squeak like chesse curds, that's not a good sign. The cook should have known just by the looks of them. What makes it more disappointing is the price of these types of entree's-I'm not saying the prices are bad, I'm saying the food experience would be less disappointing if we hadn't spent near $85 overall. Our waitress (this happened both visits) did not check on us the entire dinning experience which also means they missed out on more beverage sales. I'm fairly new to the area coming from the heart of Waukesha county and have found out quickly that expecting consistent good food and service in Rock and Green county is very hard to come by.
