Absolutely loved our experience here!! Such a fun time wine tasting and we had the best wine pourer. Highly recommend stopping here, we aren’t super into wine and tastings but enjoyed it so much! Will be back.
Make it your biyearly stop from Chicago to Milwaukee. F the bean. I love Milwaukee. Our annual pilgrimage from St Charles to a downtown venue in Milwaukee starts with a tasting at Appel Treow. The owner really loves his work and is a treasure trove of facts. Ask him about sorghum, and try his whiskey. We love it all.
We've been trying for a few years to get in this place while they're open, and finally made it today. I like the idea that we got 5 complimentary samples before deciding on what to buy. The service was friendly, and they really know what they're doing. We sampled brandy, wine, cider, gin, and whiskey, then ordered another flight to enjoy out in the orchard area. In Wisconsin, wineries mostly serve the sweet stuff, and we prefer dry and tart; we had several options...
