Excellent resort with a phenomenal bar and restaurant. Dining room menu features german food and beer with other great classic entrees. Almost anywhere you are here, there is a fantastic lakeside view.

We were here once and it seemed like a nice bar/restaurant. However, our gay friends frequented Garmisch and they would not serve them. They ignored them when they walked in and seated themselves, and after they asked for help, they ignored them. I one hundred percent believe that this was homophobic discrimination on their part. I would never go to this place and support that kind of hatred. Wish I could give them zero stars.

Stopped by for lunch and drinks. It was a rainy afternoon. We all split our entrees which were very good, and large enough. Nice selection of German type beers. Bar tender who was also the waitress was charming, entertaining and efficient! Go ahead and explore the dining room and hotel lobby, it is a unique and beautiful place… Dan from Milwaukee

Have been to the bar several times over the last 17 years. Really disappointed in the quality of food ordered today. Both our sandwhiches were inedible, we tossed them out. The "reuben" was poor quality "ham" and the chicken was rubbery and had a very odd breading. Paid $40 and it wasn't worth it. Not sure why the quality has gone so down hill. Love the place, but unfortunately, we won't make the trip back due to the bad food.

Bugs Cabin Nice Northwoods cabin. Wood burning fireplace. Updated cabin. Beds could be updated. soft. Did have a problem with 2 mice. Caught and removed. Bathrooms are nice. Location right next to the lake Parking in back of the cabin. Lodge and restaurant within walking distance.
Lovely Northwoods charm at this historic lodge and property. Enjoyed beautiful views from room #7. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent - Heidi took great care of us. Try the ribs, they are falling off the bone delicious.
Rooms: #7 is beautiful view. Upstairs, narrow hallway, step up into bathroom. No elevator service in Lodge.
Food and drinks: Reservations strongly recommended during busy times
The cabins and facility is nice. The bar is not friendly and welcoming to everyone. The owner apparently has a problem serving Spotted Cow because he doesn't like their politics. This is freaking Wisconsin! Not serving Spotted Cow is like not serving fried cheese curds. To top it off, he doesn't serve Bud Light because apparently he doesn't think LGBT people should exist. And lastly, they advertise a LGB burger. I will spend my money someplace not stuck in the 50's.

We went here for dinner and it was wonderful! I had the ribeye special and ordered it medium rare. The inside was perfect, and the outside had a crust that was absolutely amazing. Honestly, it was the best steak I've had in quite a while. My wife had the walleye and it was also excellent. My daughter loved the german chocolate cake. Fantastic place, we will definitely be back.

Noteworthy details: We happened upon the two white pillars at the entrance for Garmish Resort. We drove in and as soon as we reach the top of the hill the Grandeur of this beautiful Old World Resort opened up. The main building is gorgeous. We walked into the gorgeous main building and entered the sitting area. It is beautifully large with wood beams all over the beautifully finished sitting room. Then we went to have lunch at the porch next to the bar and had a fabulous meal with a beautiful view. We loved it so much that I had my birthday the next day in the dining area which has a gorgeous fully windowed South West and Northview of the lake. Food was great, Highly recommend.
