“We've been coming up north for years and always drove by this place, finally decided to stop in and we were not disappointed!

The atmosphere: we loved the vibe, the place was warmly lit and the music was kind of romantic whichade the small town bar feel elevated. The staff was really nice even though they were slammed.

Food: as soon as we sat down we immediately smelled the goodness, and shortly after we noticed some of the food coming out of the kitchen. It looked so good, we had a hard time decide what to order. It seemed like each thing we saw looked better than the last. We ended up ordering the steak and Chilean sea bass, it was fantastic! I mean it that this might have been the best food we've had in the Northwoods in a long time! Deserts were great too.

“I was looking for a place to stop and eat after a long day of working. I am a contractor not familiar with the area. I, by chance, drove by the Pioneer Bar and Grill and decided to stop in. What a great find for me. Good food, good service, and a real person answered the phone when I called them. Highly recommend this local gem!”

“MUST STOP PLACE! Every time we are in the area, we make sure to stop in (at least 3, 4 or 27 times). The food isn't your every day bar food. It's absolutely over the top! Everyone is welcome and the atmosphere makes you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. I highly reccomend trying the loon juice on tap, you won't regret it. Accessible by boat, cat, utv, you name it! Make sure to stop in the gift shop on your way out!”

“I went to Tembers Wheel Inn with some friends for lunch today. My first time there and I am anxious to go back with my husband. Not only was the food great but the conversation about the bar/restaurant was very enjoyable. If you haven’t stopped yet swing on in. I am not a local but I felt right at home there.”
