First time going & was so good we came back the next day. I am in need of gluten free options & they took my Celiac Disease seriously even though it was busy they went the extra mile.
Had the fish fry. Really liked fried, lightly breaded. The broiled Cajun was also delicious. The star of the show was the roasted potatoes. Most delicious I’ve ever had! Whatever the crust was is what makes them. Enjoyed the cornbread. Skip the coleslaw it’s not good. Best Brandy Old Fashioned sweet I’ve ever had! Overall so far it’s my favorite fish fry in Hayward area.

We have enjoyed Black Iron for about obout 4 years now. The food is usually great, depending on who cooks. All in all the best burger, pizza and other sandwiches. The fries arent as good as they used to be and they used to have a buffalo chicken sandwich , yumm, no longer on menu.Try it, kind of on the pricey side.
