Stopped here to get something to eat after a day of boating on the Chip. Smaller menu but adequate choices. Tuna melt was amazing! Also two Cobb salads were enjoyed. Large outdoor patio. Dog friendly. What a great place to have in a small community. Great service.

Great place! Nice interior space with a huge patio all set in a small park. I had the double barrel burger, potato wedges, and a Portage Punch. It was all excellent. Plus friendly servers. Wonderful outing!

Really fun place to hangout, they change things up pretty often which is fun because you could visit and feel like you're in a difference restaurant every time.
The Spago is my favorite drink! It's basically a house marg.
Prices are pretty high so if you're looking for the best bang for your buck go somewhere else, but if you're looking for a unique experience and great cocktails this is your place!

My Dad and I had a lovely time at The Portage in the adorable town of Cable, WI. The building is a new construction with a spacious interior. The decorations are carefully curated, and they have a great patio area. They also have a stage for live bands and a comfortable bar.

They were celebrating Octoberfest while we visited, and we enjoyed one of their monster pretzels with our seasonal on-tap brew.

We will definitely be back next time we are in the Northwoods!!!

Portage staff - Please clearly inform customers about the automatic 18% service charge. Staff did not inform about the service charge when I paid our bill for 3 people, so I inadvertently tipped 2x. When I saw my email receipt, I felt deceived.
