Best bar food in the county. Two thumbs way up. A quick story... I stumbled into this glorious place many moons ago, and I greatly enjoyed my visit. Unfortunately through the magic of time I forgot about it - the name, location, everything. The one thing I remembered though is the food was great. As luck would have it, roughly 3 years later, I'm out working in the area and stumbled in. The food was just as good (if not better), and I'm leaving a review so I don't forget it again.
I like to eat in relatively unknown places, with high ratings and good reviews. To me, Cabbage Heads is that type of a place, existing quietly in between the cities of the Midwest. Although probably well known in its community. And I don't mind people stopping their conversation as I walk in either, even though I'm not lost. This is the best off the beaten path Tavern you can find when you feel the need for some awesome curds and food. I ordered the curds, tots, chips, brat burger and inferno tenders. The tenders came plain, I think, because they were put in as an app, but oh well. Those tenders were GOOD! In fact, everything here was top notch. The food was simply stellar.
