Fire Away Roadhouse & Rest Camp

This review is for their catering services which I highly recommend! The owners were very kind, accommodating and super helpful with their suggestions and answers to my many questions. Pretty responsive too, as I know they have a business to run and young children. They were very prompt for set-up and quick for our 75-person family reunion, which was held at a park. The food items we had and people really enjoyed (as I received many comments) were: brisket, brick-grilled chicken, potato wedges, macaroni & cheese and cut-up fruit, dinner rolls. Only small thing I'd have preferred the strawberry tops (greens) to be removed and the rinds of the cantaloupe pieces to be cut off as the plastic cutlery did not make for easy slicing of the rinds. But overall, everything tasted good. They provided sauces for the two meats, that many loved as well. I wish I'd taken pictures now to share! Thank you to the Frasers!!

I always have a wonderful time when dining here. The staff and owners are wonderful and are always working hard and doing their best to make my time the best it can be.

This restaurant offers a decent experience for a tourist-heavy area, with a pleasant atmosphere. Our group of four visited on a Saturday evening and ordered the prime rib special, pork chop with rice, and shrimp Alfredo. The food was average, but a few issues affected the overall experience.

Service was slow, and we had to go to the bar for drink refills. The bartender, however, was very friendly and accommodating; he comped a few drinks, which we appreciated. Several items—salads and vegetables—were missing from our meals. The server mentioned they’d be removed from the bill, but that wasn’t reflected, and her explanation was unclear and confusing.

Despite the hiccups, I wouldn’t discourage others from trying the place. It may have just been an off night, or perhaps my expectations were a bit high after traveling.

Awesome Wednesday Wings!

Definitely one of the top three places I love to eat in the area. The chef is amazing! Service is usually very good too with only one very notable exception.

I will start by saying we have chosen Fire Away as our go-to restaurant! We have had something different each time we have visited and we have been very pleased with everything so far! Definitely try the Surf and turf ~ amazing, smoked ribeye ~ phenomenal, plus as a very infrequent wing eater…I did try the smoked wings and they are amazing, probably the best we have had. Appetizers - the meatballs and the burnt ends are both top notch. The menu is “elevated” to a different level with unique ingredients and combinations. Service at Fire Away has been impressive, never a single complaint. Hostess & wait staff have been attentive and smiling - not to mention we regularly see the owners delivering food to tables and greeting their guests which is great to see everyone working together. Facility is clean & updated with multiple options for seating whether you visit as a family or want to watch a game and eat at the bar. We will continue to bring our business to Fire Away to support a local family owned small business & also to support a military veteran. Thanks for all you do Randy, Shana & staff!

Such a nice set up and awesome people!! Attended a wedding reception here and it was beautiful!!! ? Ample amount of space and place to play outside for the kiddos!!
