Worst meal I've ever been served. Main course served before I had half my salad eaten. Chicken Cordon Bleu was cooked beyond recognition. Also, the cheese and sauce were cooked out of the breading and baked tight to the plate. Flavor was completely gone. When paying the bill, was asked how my food was. Told the lady was worst I ever had. She never said a word. Just took my money and walked away. Never going back.

Cook was upset he had to finish cooking my husband's steak. He burnt it to a crisp. We spent a lot of money there in past few years. No more. They moved to the very bottom of our supper club list. We won't be back.

We eat here often! It's a typical WI tavern menu, with good prime rib and broasted chicken. I'm not a fan of the ribs or pasta - both sauces taste "out of the can" instead of homemade. Typical WI tavern salad bar. Definitely needs to start providing internet for customers!! The menu and restaurant both desperately need an update, but the service is decent and the atmosphere is clean & welcoming. The cocktails are also decent. It would be great if they'd remodel the place and add outdoor seating on the roof or patio, the view of the lake would be unbeatable! Overall, a dependably decent meal for the price and a relaxing restaurant.

The restaurant options are . . . let's say limited at best up in this part of the world, especially on a Sunday night. Searching online at supper clubs within a half hour, I liked the look of the bar area and the salad bar at The Washington Inn Supper Club the best, so we took a flyer, and . . . I'd say it . . . solidly matched my expectations We arrived in time for their 2 For 1 drinks that are every day from like 4-7. Shortly after being seated at the bar and ordering drinks, both of us had two drinks set before us. Great, but . . . they were both of the watered down cloying "liquor" variety that was in the hotel rooms at the all-inclusive in Mexico. Old fashioneds, G&T's, Vodka Tonics, Rum and Diet Coke . . . all bottom of the barrel rail booze We placed our dinner order at the bar, as is apparently the way it's usually done at WI supper clubs, and were eventually brought to our table. We were directed to help ourselves to soup and salad, which was mixed baggish, but enough to find to like. The lady especially loved the well of port wine cheese (Hello, Wisconsin) The entrees. I had the panko breaded walleye, and scraped most of the breading off. The fish was nice inside. She ordered the fried chicken special that was maybe $13, which was incredibly inexpensive, and fairly decent fried chicken. It came with four sides, and could easily have fed three people, especially after the soup and salad I'd possibly go back, because the bar area IS a nice space to hang out, and there are not a lot of options near Cecil, but would only order bottled beer and sneak in some sidecar of actual alcohol

Took my husband out for his birthday- The bar service was ok- bartender was not super friendly. The waitress did not seem to know what exactly she was doing. Took three peoples orders before us and we were there first. When we sat down to to eat-The salad bar was good- fresh vegetables and such. I ordered steak and baked potato my husband ordered Panko dipped walleye. We got our food and I was totally not expecting his walleye to be paper thin. Not even enough to fill you up. The Panko was not even a crust, like they just tossed it over the top. Unsatisfied with that! My meal came with a hard side of baked potato.. I noticed there was a piece of lobster on my plate that I didn’t order and I had already started eating the steak! I had coughed a little because I have asthma so my germs were all over this food! The waitress came back to me and said she gave me the wrong plate! I said well I already started eating this one and coughed on it. She stood there like was going to give her back the food I was already eating. Mind you I don’t care for lobster but here’s the bad partWhen we asked for a box to go she asked if I was going to keep the lobster or return it! I said what are you going to do with it, she said take it back to the kitchen- she said she can’t let a lobster go out the door! I said you already served me a plate that was not mine to start with, I ate and drank and coughed all over this food and you’re going to take this contaminated food back to the kitchen! She said if I take the lobster home I have to pay for it. Why would I pay for something I didn’t order? You messed up, you figure it out. So I am lead to believe that they took the lobster back to the kitchen and will reserve it to someone else! We will never be back to this establishment and you are pretty lucky I don’t call the health department! I know for a fact that after that food has been placed on the table it is the customers food whether it was their order or not! That food becomes free. Someone needs to retake the food courses. The waitress should not be serving food to customers. Supper discussed by my experience!

This an old school hidden gem! We stopped in on a Tuesday night after reading about this place in the Wisconsin supper Clubs book. It did not disappoint! We live the nostalgic charm. We started with double bubble old fashioned cocktails at the bar. Four nice cocktails for $10? Yes please! The bartender Joey was very pleasant,. For dinner, we had the delicious soup and salad bar. You could tell the soups and hot bacon dressing were home made. For entrees, we had the pan fried walleye with potato puffs and the filet with sautéed vegetables. Both were delicious! Even the sautéed vegetables were fresh and well seasoned. We had no room for ice cream drinks but hope to come back for some!

Would have liked to stay for dinner, but no one would take our order even after asking for a waitress, our drinks were empty along with the bar. Crickets from the bartenders. After about 1/2 hr we left and went next door. Where the food and service were great.
