New bartender Riley is excellent. Great conversationalist.
And always thanks to BJ and family for a great evening.
It was all very average.
I never usually make reviews, but I expected a lot since the public reviews were great. Ultimately it was quite a sloppy performance food-wise. To start, the brussel sprouts were supposed to be hot, came out cold, you can tell when you put cheese on top and it doesn't melt. I didn't want to say anything just to see if it was a reoccurring thing with their kitchen. Then true enough, we started to realize a pattern in which none of the plates were ever heated up, thus causing them to be served to the table already lukewarm/cold. The drinks were a saving grace, we thought the steak crostini and tuna was probably their only stand out dishes, and the service was actually superb. Their wait staff were great, host staff were very accomodating to help us get better seating. Atmosphere wise, I understand that sometimes a different and fun theme is nice, but a Tiki theme for Valentine's day was a bit poor. No offense but could have made it a bit more of a romantic setting for just the day. I do want places like this to succeed, because their ideas are unique, I just hope that they can do better. But for now, it's not one we would want to visit in awhile.
Thanks for the considerations.

We visited last night for our anniversary and enjoyed a cozy evening with a selection of four tapas and four cocktails between the two of us. The atmosphere was welcoming, and we could tell thought had gone into the flavor combinations and presentation of each dish. Every tapa was flavorful and fresh, showcasing great ingredients and creativity in portioned bites ideal for sharing.
However, the portion sizes left a bit to be desired. Given the cost, we expected to feel a bit more satisfied by the end of the meal, but we left still a bit hungry. The cocktails, while delicious, also didnât quite fill up the glass, which was a little disappointing.
Overall, we had a good experience, with quality food and drinks, though we'd recommend it more as a spot for light bites or a social evening rather than a full dinner. If you go, consider ordering a bit more to avoid the lingering appetite

We are local and were excited to try Union House for the first time. We were very disappointed in our visit. I had made a reservation for 7:00pm, and the restaurant was decently busy. As soon as we sat down, our waitress let us know that once we ordered, it would be at least an hour before ANY food would be brought out because the kitchen was backed up. I appreciated her letting us know that right away. However, as the night went on, she kept on alerting us that more and more items were out, a lot of which included the proteins. We ordered 3 items, to which she suggested would be enough for the two of us, and we left hungry and had to stop somewhere else for food on the way home. The pesto steak bites were so tough I could hardly bite through them. If you recommend reservations for your restaurant, I would think that you would have a better idea of how much food to order so you aren't running out of half of your menu. Very disappointed with our experience.

Union House is a really cool bar and eatery. They have small plates with a lot of good unique offerings. Good for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. In the summer they have great patio seating and live music on some weekends. Wait service is really friendly.

We've been to Union House several times and will be back, but this visit had some shortcomings. First the good: The Patatas Bravas, BBQ Shrimp Skewers, and Mediterranean Chicken were excellent small plates. The patio seating is well-spaced and the outdoor heating units were plentiful, creating a pleasant environment. The not-so-good: the Union House seemed understaffed for the busy Oktoberfest weekend, so kitchen service was quite slow, though the waitress thoughtfully communicated this in advance. The bar was out of the (fan-favorite!) âTedâ Red Blend wine, though whatever was substituted was adequate. The bad: the two-piece group on the patio was too loud for the environment. The staff should have perceived this, as more than one couple moved to a more secluded spot. Conversation at dinner should not be a lost art due to the volume of the music.
The service was outstanding. The food incredible as was the special Sangria. So nice that the owners take the time to come out and visit and to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. Highly recommend Union House.
Almost all the food was excellentâthe whipped feta, flank steak pesto crostini, sauced potatoes, and the tuna were amazing. Only the turkey meatballs were quite bland. The service was a bit harried but friendly. We sat outside and the small gas fire box on table made sharing difficult and dangerous to reach and pass plates. The seasonal blood or age sangria was delicious. We will definitely be back but will sit inside.

Favorite place to take friends and family to in Cedarburg! Rotating menu keeps it fun. Red sangria is to die for. Food is a little too pricey in my opinion for the amount and the quality you receive.

They have a small plates menu that is very good. Inconsistent pacing of the food serving. We got one item at a time while the table next to us got all their food at once. Too fast for me, I wanted to linger on their nice patio. Our server neglected to tell us that they were having an $8 martini special which I would have partaken in. Blue Cheese Steak Bites and Garlic Butter Mushrooms are not to be missed. Suggestions for the chef: most items could use cracked pepper; please serve the amazing mushrooms with a spoon so all the sauce at the bottom does not get wasted. Thank you!
Super fun place to eat and drink. For those who like spicey- get the dirty martini with the pepper stuffed olives. The menu is packed with a good variety of tapa-style plates. Each was better than the next. Overall the experience was quite good. Because of the way the food is fired, we saw the runners much more often than the waitress, so we probably would have had a few more drinks or requested resets for our plates/silverware had we had the opportunity to - but it didn't really impact the experience. Definitely check it out on date night or for a nice change to a standard dinner.

We had no idea this hidden gem was in Cedarburg! Great food with a relaxing back patio. Wouldn't have expected a tapas restaurant. Can't wait to go back to try other options on the menu.

Nice quaint place to stop for happy hour. Outside patio looks great but music was too loud. Intimate dining spaces inside and great cocktails. Food presented nicely but nothing besides the cucumber pita appetizer really stood out.
