This place used to have quick awesome service and waitresses were nice and attentive. Food used to be good too, now the lobby is closed because of “Covid” even though we are in Wisconsin where those rules shouldn’t apply just an excuse for laziness. Took the waitress 15 min to just come to our picnic table. Got our food in to go boxes for some reason like we were leaving, not how a drive inn should be if someone is staying to eat. Again laziness with doing the dishes I’m sure. Last but not least the food was TERRIBLE and my grilled chicken sandwich tasted worse than a mcchicken and my boyfriends pizza burger which used to be good here looked gray in color and had no toppings on but melted cheese and was disgusting. Writing this in hopes that the owner takes more control over their business!

Gross. Got the pizza burger and got this un appetizing looking thing. Didn't even have marinara on it just 2 thin slices of meat and seemed to have some weird gravy on it. Wish I would have taken a picture because I'd be embarrassed to serve something like that. The water was good though lol

I wish they had lids/covers for their ice cream dishes and flurries. I got some sundaes to take home for our company. They melted by the time I got home and spilled in my car making a complete mess. I will reconsider going there next time.

Was there for over an hour until my friends and I got our food. I got onion rings and they got fries. My onion rings were okay, but they were obviously not fresh. Their fries were cold, pale, and rubbery. The staff waited for multiple orders to be done until finally bringing them out so most of them just sat on the counter for way too long. They didn’t bring us our food until they saw us getting in our car to leave. Just go to Red’s if you want food or even just make the 20 minute drive to Rice Lake.

Well I would have liked a sit in restaurant but my 8 and 5 year old begged to go to ndi. If they could choose it would be the only place we eat. Food and prices are good. Kids can run around on the ship and slide.It's A memory maker for sure.

Whats the point of being open till till 8pm if you turn customers away at 7:32 because your grill is shut off for the night. I was there right before 7:30 to add to the insult but the wait staff came out after 7:32 I'm new the area so ill be looking for other places to eat.

Ordered the hamburger basket with root beer. Root beer arrived in Styrofoam cup. Food brought out in Styrofoam container. Hamburger is the frozen 1/8th pound crappy burgers you can buy in any freezer section. No pickles. No onions. No nothing on a budget bun. Got 3 packets of ketchup and 1 of mustard. Asked to pay when Food delivered to our outdoor picnic table. I needed more ketchup for the good fries so I had to go into the prohibited indoor dining area to ask for more. No server checked on us until the check was presented. Oh, and we ordered cheese curds. Got exactly 9 curds. 3 of which were the size if a marble. There are many better places to eat in chetek. If you want a fast food burger and fries, go to DQ. Much better food for less money. This is not a throwback root beer stand experience. It could be fun with better wait staff, better food and for Pete's sake, serve root beer in a frosty mug. We won't be back.

Traveling through. We stopped at NDI only because "Bobs" wasn't on the corner anymore. Great prices and excellent server. It is basic drive-in food, not outstanding or bad, basically good. A play area If kids need to stretch.

The inside was closed (due to the pandemic) so they where slower then normal. But the food was really good and the kids loved the play area.

Great crispy chicken sandwich!! So many options for food, ice cream, shakes, burgers. Fast service with restaurant level food. Would recommend! Love the small town drive in vibe.
