This was our first time dining here. We walked in without a reservation at 5 pm on a Friday evening. Fortunately we were seated immediately but I would suggest making a reservation. The crab enchiladas were delicious!
I cannot say enough great things about this place. Its become one of my favorites. I love to start off my meal with buzo nachos. They are simply the best nachos I have ever had! I could fill up on one of those but choose to share. My favorite meal is the calamari steak made with a flavorful lemon caper sauce. I also suggest the blackened tuna salad. The calamari steak is absolutely incredible. I had it 6 years ago and I had it again recently and the only change was the chef cut it into nice strips prior to serving, and so it was just as succulent and fresh as last time! Whenever I visit Chippewa Falls, and there's a special occasion, we like to visit Max's. Amazing seafood with a Mexican flavor profile.
