Don Maguey Mexican Restaurant

Never had a bad meal here. Food is always great and the staff are wonderful. My husband and I take our special needs son here and they are always so accommodating. LOVE this restaurant!!

Waitress was not helpful so I tipped her $0 and I even signed it too. I just checked my bank statement and $10 was taken out from my card.

I’m never coming back here again. Food is a solid 2/5 and I’m not saying this cause of what happened, it really is a 2/5…

Sat down and brought chips and salsa with a small cup of cool white ranch? Arrived early before 5 to lite crowd and ordered a good margarita. Son ordered queso. Asked server to bring some more chips as none were brought with queso? Food was average to above average. My tamale was mostly corn and little pork. Asked manager to remove cost from 3/2 items. Bill came and were charged for chips and salsa and two extra chips for queso. My meal was adjusted. No discount for daily special ordered. Asked server if chips included? She shrugged and didn’t have much personality, but was attentive to our needs in serving us. After 5 more minutes no one came to table to discuss or explain. I left cash and left. Could have and still could be a teachable moment. 😒 must do better with some many places to eat.

2025 update
Wanted to try you all again but still was very disappointed everybody. Please make sure to check your food before you give them any money. Very frustrated to continually have a bad experience and no one's ever seems to care

Have ordered from you'll a few times but was disheartened to find that none of my entrees had any tortillas with them when I finally got home. I called and they tried to help but I can't afford to drive all the way back again for tortillas. For the money spent, sur charge for cards paid, and a tip, I'd at least expect to get what I ordered. Real sad and put a damper on the meal.....

My family chooses to eat at Dons on a weekly basis because we love it that much! The service, food, and atmosphere had set the standard. The food is always delicious, the perfect amount of heat and flavor in each dish. We will always support our favorite hometown restaurant.

Long time customer. Tonight was the last straw. Subwoofer speaker in the kitchen on full tilt louder than the music in the dining room. I wouldnt have cared if it was the same music. Super disrespectful of the customers that drive out of their way to support a small business in a small town. Do better.

We love Don Maguey! They have great food and drinks. You get free chips and salsa. They have good service and are always smiling when you walk in! It is our go to Mexican restaurant.

Food is very American. I love cilantro but it tasted like soap. Probably old/bad. Might as well go to chipotle or qdoba.

Ordered a burrito and it was tiny!! Smaller than an enchilada. Will not be going back and live near by. Very unfortunate.
