A lovely atmosphere with a broad selection of serve-yourself wines by the glass. Choose your size per pour and pay at the end. Other alcoholic and non- drinks are available. Full bottles, too. There is indoor seating, but the outdoor patio on a nice weather day/afternoon/evening is best. Limited food options to munch on while you catch up with friends and enjoy your wine.

1909 was super accommodating for our wedding we had in March. We rented out the upstairs rooms. They encouraged us to be creative with the space and even allowed us to extend our time upstairs if needed for a small price.

My husband and I visited Cross Plains for the first time since moving to Madison 5 years ago. We stumbled across Nineteen09 and thought the building looked so beautiful so we had to go in and check it out. We were thrilled to discover it's a wine bar! The building itself is gorgeous! It's a beautiful stone building surrounded by flowers, lanterns, and a beautiful patio. The patio was really impressive, it had a stone fireplace, sturdy outdoor furniture, string lights, and my favorite feature- Bluetooth umbrellas to play your own music!!! We loved this feature, it made us feel like we were at home, drinking wine on our own patio. Unfortunately, we don't have a patio but we plan to fully utilize this one and pretend it's our own. :) The are a self serve wine bar so you can get a card from the bar and pour your own wine so it of their machines. They have about 3 machines of wine to choose from. They had lots of reds, whites, and roses to choose from. Their bar also had canned cocktails, whiskey, and other liquor to choose from. They serve charcuterie boards for food and they looked fantastic. We will definitely try one out next time! We will definitely be back! Do yourself a favor and check out this hidden gem if you haven't already.

We attended a graduation party here. It is a great venue and a wonderful concept. A small bar with lots of private sitting rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would be a great place to enjoy your favorite cocktail and just unwind after a stressful day. Definitely two thumbs up.

The decor is beautiful, and it’s the perfect spot to grab a drink after work or meet up with friends to catch up! The wine “on tap” is so fun! It’s nice to be able to purchase a “small pour” sometimes when I want a little more than a small taste to decide if I like a wine or not! Staff is always super friendly. Super clean and cute space! Highly recommend grabbing a globe in the winter with friends or family! Great experiences each time I’ve gone!
The Village of Cross Plains is lucky to have such a beautiful wine bar! The building, one of the original in CP, has been completely renovated and is SO cool. And the outdoor patio is inviting and beautiful. Katy and family and friends do a great job with personal attention to each customer. Thank you for bringing this to CP!
