I stopped here around 7 PM on a Saturday as I was on my way to Rockford, Illinois. This is a quaint little diner, clean and with a good layout. I ordered Jumbo Shrimp dinner and coffee, and it was excellent. There is a very good selection of items on the menu generally. The server later brought out the dessert tray to show me what was available, which was really a nice touch even though I seldom order desserts. Food was good for the price. It didn't seem made from scratch, but from frozen or canned supplies. Had the Chicken Parm, which was served with tomato sauce on top of spaghetti. It was OK and it was Diner food. I think 3/5 stars is fair. I personally don't think it's my preferred kind of place. A friend had recommended it but my experience was not extra ordinary. The staff were nice and accommodating. It just wasn't great food. It was OK.

Ordered chicken strips and only got part of the order. They smelled and tasted like fish / strongly of fish. They were to tough and dried out to chew. Ordered a plain grilled cheese, but got charged for the Ultimate grilled cheese . Told waiter there were 2 people on our order, but our order was added to others orders. I had no silverware and water never refilled .
Probably won’t come back .
