Clearly this bar only wants the few regulars it has I walked in waited to order a drink bartender was busy then she told me it would be a minute that’s fine… I go over and play a machine low and behold I hear a regular whining cause I started winning on the machines then the owner proceeds to come over and ask if I need anything by then I decided they don’t welcome outsiders so I was gunna cash out and leave even though I’ve been there many times and spent a lot of $ there the owner told me just so you know if one of my regulars wants that machine you have to get off it they are spending money here you are not……i then had the conversation about how putting money in the machines is patronage to the bar and she said no it’s not your not tipping the bartender…..btw I always tip the bartender even though I don’t drink or just have a soda also the machines at this bar print a ticket that you take to a atm and it pays you so yea no work for the bartender there so I cashed out threw 2$ on the bar walked out while the bitchy owner screamed thanks for the tip” wow never been so uncomfortable in my life and never ever going there again and I thought this bar was so comfortable and nice atmosphere but that changed big time I do not recommend this place the waterfront down the road is much nicer

My friend tricked me into going to the pirates cove for some karaoke. Boy am I glad he did because it was pretty fun. The lady running the karaoke was very nice and helpful. She stayed there till 2:00 a.m. too so did we.
I'd never been to the pirates cove and had probably driven by it hundreds of times. There were quite a few slot machines which I don't play but if you're into that they have them.
It's a nice at home feel on the inside of the establishment.
I would probably come back and do karaoke there again when I'm in town.

Well, I am speaking to the Progressive Socialist that decided to leave a negative review. I just moved here from a progressive city & state (Chicago) and couldn’t be happier. That being said the food was good, people were kind and it’s within walking distance. I’m sorry you allowed your political beliefs to jettison yourself from a good time. That’s the beauty being supporter of Trump, we welcome everyone with open arms.
Oh, and it was “safe” haha. I’m small town, mixed gay man.. does that check all of your identity politics boxes?
I am not bringing any IL politics to this neat town.
Cool looking place... however I won't ever step back into this place. My family and I ordered food and we watched the cook licking her fingers numerous times. We all brought our food back up to the bar untouched and she asked is everything OK? We obviously told her what we seen and she said " she was eating" last i knew that was against all rules to eat while cooking food and continuing to lick all 10 fingers and then go back into making food is absolutely disgusting. No gloves no hand washing whatsoever.

I recently visited for lunch with my grandparents, and it was a disappointing experience. The heat in the restaurant wasn’t on or working, the soda tasted off, and to make matters worse, we saw the cook licking her fingers while preparing our food. After witnessing this multiple times, our appetite vanished. When we brought our untouched food to the bar and raised our concerns, the cook simply shrugged and said, “I’m sorry, I was eating food.” As a cook, I find this completely unacceptable. We ended up paying our $51 bill, but we won’t be returning.

Some of the best fish in Walworth county.. sadly.: some of the worst service.. had not been there for years… sat and watched our server shoot the breeze with someone with our bill in her hand for about 10 minutes… got my own to go Box and watched other patrons waiting for a server to come and give them one as well… sad.. the fish was too notch… crappy service will kill ya!!! Her tip reflected it!!!
I have always heard good things about the fish fry, and wanted to try it. Imagine my disappointment when I pulled up and saw all of the campaign signs supporting gop candidates. As a Democrat, I not only didn't think I would be welcome, but I wondered if I'd be safe. Needless to say, I didn't check out their fish fry, and definitely never will. Business 101 : never mix business and politics. I'm kind of glad, though. I would never give my business to someone who supports a rapist and a felon. FYI: Walworth County is 45% Democrat. That's a whole lot of customers you're alienating. Pretty sure most of the IL visitors are, too. Trump loves the uneducated!
