From listing and explaining the dinner features, pleasant and continued attention throughout the evening, and just a true pleasure to have as a server!! “I have been looking for a good fish fry with good potato pancakes and I finally found one. I normally order baked fish but they offered a choice to order both baked and fried so I got it. Both were very good I still prefer the baked but if you like fried I would say it was good too. I liked that they served drawn butter with the baked too. Coleslaw was also good. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The dining room is very clean and quaint. We were surprised that it wasn’t very busy as we got a table right away and there was no waiting. I believe we found a diamond in the rough. We will definitely be back. Prices are very reasonable for dinner and drinks.”

“Thanks to our friends moving to Delevan that we found this little gem. It’s only 20 miles from where we live. For real authentic Mexican food, we would travel 2 hours! They have great margaritas and happy hours. Specials every day. I had the Chile Relleno’s they were not typical, but they were epic. My husband had the queso Birrias and for the past 40 years eating authentic Mexican food from mama, we never had this before. It’s literally like a Mexican French dip! It’s outrageously delicious and addicting. Tonight we decided to have ceviche, and we are both allergic to shellfish, so you can get it with shrimp or without. We were worried about cross-contamination, and we had nothing to worry about but to enjoy how delicious and well-made it was.”

“We had an amazing breakfast at Tana’s Family Restaurant today! Our 17 month old has a severe egg allergy and from the waitress to the cook they were more than accommodating. My daughters meal was made first and our server was AMAZING. So friendly and my daughter loved her. She made us feel like we were dining at home. 5 stars!”

“Stopped in for Lunch, I is larger than I thought as I didn't see the backside of the place which had outdoor seating and several volleyball nets. They even had one of the giant Adirondack chairs that you can get your pic in.
Lunch was yummy, they even had a $ 5.00 cheeseburger (no fries/side) 3 of us got BLT with side, one got the $5 cheeseburger, another got tacos and the last ordered one of the other burgers with side.
Everyone seemed happy with their flavors and food as we ate everything. My BLT and Pepsi ran $18 something without the tip. (I did have and upcharge for extra mayonnaise and extra tomato at .75 each). Sandwich was yummy and I did also opt for the sweet potato fries.”

“I have been to Patty's Deli several times and unfortunately can only give my opinion on one menu item.; the egg salad sandwich. It is hands down, by far, the best I've ever had and made fresh to order every time. Others in my office have said the same but have ordered several other menu items and say everything is always fresh and great tasting. Amazing place!”

“I stopped in late, hoping to find a churro to sate my hunger as my wife checked into the hotel a few doors down (that place sucked). Unfortunately, they were out at that time, but recommended I come back in the morning.I did return upon learning how terrible the hotel's free breakfast was. The smell of fresh breads and baked treats hooked into my nose and dragged me around like a cartoon character. I got churros. I got cookies. I got donuts. If I lived closer, I'd get diabetes from eating their delicious pastries ALL THE TIME.Go out of your way.Go there.Get delicious food at a really good price!Now I really want another churro...”

“Heard about this place and had to try it. It’s the only lake front bar on Lake Delavan!The bar is long and narrow, but the bar stools are great, they have backs! Lots of windows (not everyone likes a dark bar), and a wonderful view of the lake. Dean was a great personable bar tender. Fantastic ribeye steak sandwich. So there!”

“We had never been to 1878 and were not familiar with that particular small area. There needs to be more signs or a map or something. It was very confusing as to where to park and where to go to find it. We spend more time driving around the country club setting looking for the building than we should've had to. Then we drove past the parking area thinking we entered over where the building is, not knowing you must go through one building and then find your way once instead to where the entrance actually is inside the maze. Very confusing. And we're usually pretty good with finding things. Once we found 1878, we were seated by the window overlooking the lake. Very nice view. They have amazing Smokey drinks. The French onion soup was one of the bests we ever had. The shrimp risotto was something I would have again and again. My husband had a burger and fries and I kept stealing the fries. So good. He enjoyed his food, as well. Our waitress was great too. Very attentive. The only thing I didn't understand was it was my birthday and I had noted in the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and nothing was ever mentioned. I found that odd. Usually that kind of thing is brought up. Especially when the table next to me had also had a birthday and the waitress made mention and even brought out a birthday dessert. Granted we didn't order dessert, but usually you don't order it and then they say oh by the way. At the other table, the gentleman was told happy birthday and was told he could pick any dessert for his birthday. So I felt our waitress kind of missed the mark on that one. It just made it a little less, if that makes sense. Since I chose this place to celebrate on my actual day. I would go back so that I could try more menu items. We go to Lake Geneva maybe every other year. Mostly in winter, however. Not sure how the lake view is at that time. It sure was beautiful in summer.”
