Wagon Wheel Delavan Reviews
This place is Awsome great people and food
I have been looking for a good fish fry with good potato pancakes and I finally found one. I normally order baked fish but they offered a choice to order both baked and fried so I got it. Both were very good I still prefer the baked but if you like fried I would say it was good too. I liked that they served drawn butter with the baked too. Coleslaw was also good. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The dining room is very clean and quaint. We were surprised that it wasn’t...read full review

The Wagon Wheel in Delavan is a restaurant that offers delicious food, including a highly-praised fish fry with both fried and baked cod options. The potato pancakes and homemade chips are not to be missed, and the family-style applesauce and coleslaw complement the meals well. The cornbread is described as soft and tender, and the servers are noted for being pleasant and attentive. The dining room is clean and has a quaint atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, and the restaurant is said to be a "diamond in the rough." The Wagon Wheel also supports local causes, as demonstrated by their generous donation to a recent benefit.
The menu is limited, but the food is cooked well. The Angus Burger, cooked to the desired temperature, and the crispy yet soft French Fries with a unique seasoning are highlights. The Onion Rings, however, were overcooked. The owner knows the history of the building from breaking ground til present day, and his knowledge adds a special touch to the experience. Customers have enjoyed their visits, often stopping for lunch and finding the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. Drinks and food are enjoyed by many, with favorites like potato pancakes, clam chowder, and the fish fry. The staff, especially Kevin the bartender, is attentive and helpful, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, the restaurant provides good food, a warm atmosphere, and a sense of community, making it well worth a detour.
