We stopped in today and had an absolute blast of an experience. The owner and our waitress were so nice and friendly to chat with! With it being off season and a Monday, the atmosphere was surprisingly chill. We unexpectedly didn't even have to wait!I had the Norweigan hot cakes (do not skip the jalopenos--so good!) and my husband had the stuffed hasbrowns with two eggs on top. Cannot say enough about how excellent the food was. Also the bacon and bread on the side were just as good as the main dishes. Treat yourself to some Mac N Cheese bites to start! We will 100% be back and cannot wait till next time!

What an exceptional experience we had at Delta Diner. Tucked into the Northwoods, we definitely had to seek out this dining experience, but it was certainly worth the drive. Since we visited in the office season the diner had limited hours, but with some planning ahead we were able to make sure they would be open when we hoped to visit. My husband and I enjoy supporting the local businesses, especially during the off season when business is naturally a bit slower. The diner atmosphere was perfect. It's cozy and intimate with barstools that allow you to watch the chef as he meticulously prepares each and every dish. The kitchen area is exceptionally clean and you can tell that all the staff take pride in the work that they do. Our food was amazing, especially the stuffed hash brown. We will definitely be visiting again, and trying for a Monday to see what their burgers are all about as they only have their burgers on Mondays!Dietary restrictions: My husband is gluten free and was able to find menu items to meet his needs.

We stopped at Delta Diner for a late breakfast on the first Monday they were open for the season, March 18th. Although, we UTV there often for the excellent outdoor bar/dining experience, it had been awhile since we dined in the restaurant. It was absolutely AMAZING!The breakfast choices were outstanding: excellent variety, all flavor-filled, not your 'run-of-the-mill' cafe/diner breakfast options. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, taking their time to answer any questions on menu options, even offering samples of new food items coming this season. Oh, and how revolutionary - we paid our bill, expecting to add our tip as we always do - they do not accept tips - WOW! They obviously treat their staff well in order to eliminate this aspect of dining out. Their special homemade sauces and on location fresh roasted coffee for purchase was also a pleasant surprise. We cannot wait to go back!!

Called to check the hours. A recorded message said they were open. We arrive only to be told there is a 1 HOUR wait..... we looked around and saw half the tables empty and asked if we could sit at an empty table, get a coffee for each of the 5 of us, until we can order, and the hostess promptly responded with, "No, I'm sorry, we have reservations and people going to be arriving for all the tables for the next hour, so we can't accommodate you guys!"Ok? We thought we would try this place out, but, I guess we never will......

4.8 stars is a great score for any restaurant, but I have no idea how Delta Diner doesn't have all 5 stars. This is one of my favorite dining experiences ever and the staff is as kind and knowledgeable as you will find.MUST stop if you are in the area.

Wonderful place to take a road trip to. Once you get there and actually see the diner you better be prepared for your expectations to come true. Yes we had to wait 1 hr in our car but we knew this may happen and listened to music. Once we sat down our waitress was very attentive & made us feel so special but you don't leave them tips...the cost of the food includes there tip!! We really enjoyed our food and we both were stuffed. We plan on making this trip once a year.
The name says Diner, but this is not just some greasy spoon. The food, flavor, and quality are very upscale. The staff was amazing and helpful, and the place was super clean. Be prepared to wait for a little bit, but it will be worth it.

Went here a few weeks ago as it was a "bucket list" item of mine. I have worked in food service for 25+ years and have never worked, nor dinned in a place as immaculate as this place!! WOW!! Tons of stainless everywhere and not a water spot, smudge or anything!! Not even a footprint on the ceramic tile that's all around. I'm amazed and very impressed!!

Drive way the hell out of my way only to be told to sit outside on a cold rainy because they had half the restaurant roped off.Never again. I've eaten here before - good food and really overpriced (and that's after taking the no tipping policy into account) but the food isn't nearly as good as they seem to think.Go anyplace else. There's a nice place in brule.

Waited about 45 min but they were upfront with about how long it was going to be. Super cute place, Delicious food and coffee. Was a little pricy but that's because gratuity is included in the price. Overall great experience. We will have to come back in summer to check out their ice cream/coffee shop and their outdoor tap room
